Hello what is your favourite french movie?
Do you know "Blue is the warmest colour"?
It was meh but very well acted. I hated the sex scenes though.
>french kids are taught tribal dancing
I like French movies because some movies have real sex scenes but with an beautiful story. It gives some kind of feeling that I can't find anywhere else. I always thought that this is the REAL cinema.
new wave artsy type shit, vivre sa vie
Also Le samourai, Delon is based. And speaking of which watch Purple Moon, I liked it more as an adaptation that The Talented Mr Ripley a lot edgier and charismatic
oh this is nice
>Hello what is your favourite french movie?
Probably pic related or Kieslowskis color trilogy.
but that's the kind of monkey show you are used to see, cuck.
Unlless they changed everything but the name from the comicbook its supposedly based on, it can't be good.
>tfw when i have a french gf
We got to see pic related in the cinema in secondary school.
That's a shit movie, faglord.
this ones nice
also saw that one where the guy punches his pregnant gf in the stomach until she miscarries then runs away and decides to kill someone i think but then something goes wrong and he decides to go fuck his mentally retarded daughter instead and that's considered a happy ending. can't remember what it was called though
>the face when
i'm gonna spoonfeed you, it's that feel when
some swedish films are okay-ish, it's just hard for me as a Finn to take the characters seriously during some high intensity scene due to them sounding like faggots with shriveled balls :DD
let me be more specific
>contemporary Italian movies
I remember a movie.
It was about a guy who got captured in an japanese(?) submarine. I remember a part where he ate a compass, and the ending where you see a big wheel being destroyed by the japs.
Such a fantastic movie, would have to be one of my all time favourites - the director made another good film- The Grain of something
as for my other favourite movies it'd have to go
2. Le Mepris
3. 400 Blows
4. Stolen Kisses
5. Love at Twenty
6. Pierrot le Fou
I Vitelloni and Il Sorpasso are fantastic
that was such a shit movie - that fuckhead Italian director literally had the easiest cast and story to make a good film and some how ruined it
should be deported if he's still alive
>"French" """""Romantic""""" """""Comedies"""""
French cinema is best cinema
>La grande illusion
>Vivre sa vie
>Au revoir les enfants
>Le scaphandre et le papillon
And the list goes on and on, France is truly the GOAT cunt.
Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?" (Serial (Bad) Weddings) tells the tale of two stuffy, white, Catholic parents whose daughters horrify them by marrying men of other religions and ethnic backgrounds.
Three are already wed - to an Arab Muslim, a north African Jew, and a Chinese man - and Maman and Papa place all their hope in their youngest daughter, only to discover that she has promised herself to a man from Ivory Coast.

Le Samourai was one of the corniest movies i've ever tried to watch. I couldn't believe it was so well regarded because it was so fucking hard to watch even the first 5 minutes of it without laughing uncontrollably and having to pause.
We ended up stopping it and watching Badlands instead and I'm glad we did. Shit was amazing even though i don't like Malick that much. Top 10 favorite movie.
Fav french movie is Alphaville I guess
People's in this thread need to Jewgle the term(New french extremity) and actually watch some great French films, not just some fuckin meme shit from 1965...

>Hello what is your favourite french movie?
>Do you know "Blue is the warmest colour"?
None. Ive once watched some Godard films, but shits fucking boring. In another story i had to stop watching The city of lost children about 10 minutes after the opening, because it was overacted too much. Since then, i havent had a motivation to pick up something else.
>You will never fuck Lea in the pooper
Has anyone seen Sundays and Cybele? It's a really sweet and feelsy french movie. It's mostly forgotten since it won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film while the New Wave was at its height
But the best director is Ozu desu senpai
Do series count as well?
Easily one of the best I have ever seen.
Pauvre toi...mais sérieusement une couple de recommendation de films Québécois...
Les Sept Jours du talion
Elvis Gratton(les trois, hon hon)
