I personally do toast a lot of things.
I made pulled pork sandwiches yesterday. Twelve hours in the slow cooker, spicy pickles, diced onion, bbq sauce and large rolls buttered then toasted crispy on both sides.
Served with slow cooked carrots and hot buttered peas.
It was very nice.
