Viraat VTOL , this is ramp.
Anything new on your air force situation? Last I heard you were down quite a few squadrons due to older planes coming to end of their service life, Tejas still not ready, HAL was unable to deliver their part on Rafale deal so you had to buy straight from Dasault, HAL being unable to deliver on FGFA so Suhkoi had to cut your work share to keep it on schedule, and apparently some update programs going on with the Su-30's, Mig-29's and Mirages
Gotta say, love the lines on the Sukhois.
>mfw there are stories of Indian ships using un-nerfed spears to get the line across to USN ships during these training exercises
>Anything new on your air force situation?
nope well except the airbase attack that OP for which is still dragging on.
>apparently some update programs going on with the Su-30's, Mig-29's and Mirages
yeah but they aren't even briefing the parliament on it let alone the public.
India's close with Russia and the US has to court India to balance PRC's influence in the region.
there is a worry about self reliance but still our Indigenous efforts vary case by case basis.
e.g Arjun,Tejas and INSAS are FUBAR while Kolkata, Arihant , Vikrant(R44) are Successes.
>gets ballistic missile subs
>still cannot poo in loo
>India's close with Russia
They are as close as India is willing to pay.
The USA gives access to UK/CAN/AUS pretty much to anything they want the majority of the time. e.g. there were British pilots flying the F117 before even the US Congress knew of its existence. That is true closeness.
>the US has to court India to balance PRC's influence in the region.
In your mind, India is in a position to extort things from the US? This is what people in India think?
Few more vids from the same exercise:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IxYI_ZMfDw (<-includes clips from that swamp)
>India is in a position to extort things from the US?
now when did i say that, you know full well why those P8i were sold and that EMALS transfer is likely provided we sign the logistics contracts which in themselves would be beneficial on their own, Pentagon's pushing as far enough as possible without forcing India into alienating itself from russia.
>They are as close as India is willing to pay.
why is this a surprise? Russia has fuck all strategic benefits to have bases in India so why would they push for a relationship like say with Syria.
>The USA gives access to UK/CAN/AUS
all those countries fall under ANZUS and NATO and they spare a lot of assets in the US's endevours e.g. Vietnam, if India had been co-signee to a similar treaty and sent assets for US's wars it'd be the same.
but this will never be because India never bites off more than it can chew with the no wars of aggression policy in the constitution.
Russian 5th Generation """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""stealth"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" jet
new bavarian launcher is going to replace the patriots
That's in southerners paint scheme with our roundel just slapped on tho, our paint scheme has sharper lines and traditionally with light green instead of brown
Or in winter the light green painted over with white
its supposed to replace the MiG 21s and counter the chinky_paki JF17 which is does very well so no idea why you so stingy.
Because even upgraded MiG 21s are better than this.
Plus your government want to increase production to "promote Indian aerospace industry" but honestly if you want to spend money on that you should have taken the Rafale deal which included technology transfer, at least that would have been somewhat useful.
European countries other than France, UK, Germany cannot into own MBT. Lel
At least Patel has something to show off
I don't get all the hate towards Indian posters. It's kind of pathetic. I would rather have anons posting quality pictures related to the thread, like Patel, than sad people who contribute nothing like you and the others ITT
The Brazilian military is the most technologically advanced in the world.
Does that carrier even work?
I read an article that it took decades to get some Skyhawks that were originally ordered by some arab country in the 60 or 70s, but when brazil finally ended up with them there was no carrier available.
It's command center caught on fire two times and it's not working anymore. Back in the day it only operated 3 months per year because it's too old, so it needs to spend at least 8 months under repair.
Forgot The photo of The damn squad!!!
We are prepared, man! (To fish)
Is there a better assault rifle than the Tavor?
>reliable long-stroke gas system
>virtually no malfunctions
>easy to field-strip
>just one captive pin in the stock and you can remove the bolt carrier group
>one captive pin and you can remove the trigger group from the magazine well
>fits a variety of magazines
>doesn't shoot brass in your face like the Steyr AUG.
>ergonomic and accurate for its cartridge
>easily convertible to other cartridges
>slightly heavy but well balanced
>all these Indian SU-30
t. I work in an aircraft plant that produces them (for India too)
I wish we had a war with Russia to show how much of their equipment is utter shit
I dunno, whats the point of trying to make a 5th gen aircraft if it doesn't even have decent stealth characteristics?
oh the engineer :) dude I've been looking for you.
I have to ask this bluntly, are they putting SU 35's components in for the Super SUkhoi upgrade ?
Those T-72s were monkey models. Russia has 2 types of military equipment, domestic user and export use. Export use stuff is usually lower quality, although domestic equipment pretty low quality as well.
Not him, but because it has none.
Don't forget the entire plane is titanium.
>>reduced bayonet capabilities
The low profile was specifically designed for urban warfare. And I believe it does have a bayonet lug beneath the removable hand guard.
It's not mushy, maybe a little heavy but it has a crisp, clean break. Better than standard-issue AR trigger.
Not sure what you mean. Ejector port on both sides, charging handle on both sides, safety on both sides.
Yeah, I'll give you that.
>>still malfunctions more than AR and AK type rifles
Where do you get your information? This rifle is more reliable than the Galil ACE.
>>Unproven in arctic and sub-zero conditions
I think it's just fine. You don't even have to adjust gas pressure before applying a suppressor. It's crazy how robust it is.
>this was 1/3rd of the US force projection in one area
oh well, thanks for your labor of love man :)
Doesn't have a lot of impact on RCS. Many 5th gen stealth prototypes had them as well.
Engines intakes are partially obscured. Radar blockers come with the advantage that they can be managed mid-flight to increase or decrease engine performance. S-Ducts can't be changed or digitally controlled. Seems like a tradeoff to me.
>engine nozzles not hidden
Agreed, but this is more relevant for IR signature, which is probably huge. Maybe they will cover the engines in future prototypes.
Outer coating is composite radar absorbent. Composites would still be better than titanium for strength/weight efficiency though.
All in all, PakFA seems like a solid 4.75G fighter, and a good replacement for RuAF older Su-27 and MiG-29. Not bad for a country that is pretty much broke.
>Outer coating is composite radar absorbent.
Source? I've never seen anything that would provide info on the plane have composites, it's entirely titanium.
There is speculation that the Russians are incapable of producing the composites.
The intakes are FULLY exposed as per photos, not partially.
I hope Trump wins and tells everyone stop leeching off the US

Peacekeeping UN meme is finally dying thank god
>Source? I've never seen anything that would provide info on the plane have composites, it's entirely titanium.
It was in an old marketing/propaganda video. They also mention composite development in the video, but they confess that it is still 'in development'.
You can also read an actual scientific report on the PakFA that uses actual simulation data.
From the report:
>no fundamental obstacles exist in the shaping design of the T-50 prototype, which might preclude its development into a genuine Very Low Observable design with constrained angular coverage.
Don't trust everything you read on /k/,most people there are idiots. PakFA will be a VLO aircraft, that is not comparable in stealth to F-35 or F-22, but ought to have better RCS than any 4th generation frame of comparable role.
>but they confess that it is still 'in development'.
So... they don't have composites.
Nice looking jets and all, but they're no match for a contemporary western fighter. Keep going through with those Rafales though and you'll be on the right path.
Yes, I know that, they don't have the ability to manufacture composites unfortunately.
Only an Indian (and sometimes 50 cents) believe they mean anything.
In WVR conditions that favored the flankers.
In reality, WVR would never happen and those pretty slavjets would be blown out of the sky by AMRAAMs before anything serious happened.
>If it is Russian it must be bad!
Considering they're 20 years behind, yes. The Russians haven't made a good jet since the MiG-21.
Their technological standards are 20 years behind. The US had 5th gens around in the 90's while the Russians still struggle with a 4th gen that could maybe compete with early f-15s/16s today.
>Where are you getting these numbers from? Abrams M1A1 and F-15 are from the 70's too.
That isn't how it works.
You HONESTLY think the F-15s in the air are the same exact planes flying from the 1970s?
>There's a reason you guys are buying western jets these days.
yeah but that has no bearing on the Flanker's capabilities for their era.
>In reality, WVR would never happen and those pretty slavjets would be blown out of the sky by AMRAAMs before anything serious happened.
or maybe the PAki F16s would be blow outt'a the sky by our ASTRA.
They've had a really bizarre and difficult time developing even IR, compartmentalizing guided missiles has been a struggle for them as well, although they've gotten better in that regard.
They poured money into bigger missiles and radar systems though, I'll give them that.
post more good bush hats
>Su-27 is the most advanced 4th-gen design in the history of humanity.
>The Soviet Union already had a stealth project:
aka a shitty prototype that fell apart and was not even stealth at all, whereas the US has almost 200 F-22 full capability stealth fighter.
why do i even respond to your trolling.

>You HONESTLY think the F-15s in the air are the same exact planes flying from the 1970s?
Still the same crappy design.
>They've been upgraded over the years with new technology.
Even Brazil does this.
>Even their tanks. They are buying optics and thermal sights from France as their in house stuff is absolute shit.
Abrams M1 uses a German turret and British armor. The only American thing in it is the engine.
>shitty grid fins and inferior tracking, takes forever to pitbull effectively making it SARH
SARH, and thus completely useless:
In the 1999 Eritrean-Ethiopian War, Eritrean MiG-29s fought Ethiopian Su-27s both piloted by Russian mercenaries. There were possibly as many as 24 R-27s fired by both sides. Only one R-27 fired by an Ethiopian Su-27 at an Eritrean MiG-29 proximity-fuzed near enough the MiG that the damaged aircraft eventually crashed on landing, giving the R-27 a hit ratio of only 4%
>Still the same crappy design.
That isn't how it works you fucking monkey?
Yeah, the west collaborates. Russia has to buy 2nd hand gear from the west for it's tanks. They are 20 years behind.
Did you know Russia doesn't have a single LCD manufacturing company?
Yes, because they fucking collaborated. The Abrams and Leopard 2 splintered off from the MBT-70 which was intended to be both countries' MBT. The AMX-30 and Leopard 1 splintered off from the Eurotank.
Just noticed Cap is wearing his PC quite low in that last pic.
Coldware doctrine was so psychotic it was hilarious.
United States Naval Special Operations ApprovedTM
Stupid civie question, but what's up with the uniform variety? Some of these people are wearing pajamas with vests over them, while others are fully geared up with no skin showing. Is the difference PMC vs army? Are special forces allowed to dress however they want? What's going on
>Are special forces allowed to dress however they want?
In a way, yes.
They are a sterile and separate organ that operates within it's own circle, they don't abide by many of the "normal" dress/equipment regulations that your average 11B on deployment would abide by.
I mean, even if some dickhead LT wanted to call out some D boys on their beards he "theoretically" could but his career would be shit piled canned the moment those guys talked to their superiors.
You just don't tell those guys what they need to be wearing or look like.
>still the same crappy design
holy shit you're stupid, or maybe i'm stupid for being trolled
>even brazil does this
with AESA radars and JHMCS?
>abrams uses german turret and british armor
german barrel with american depleted uranium munitions the euros are too beta to use
not in a long time. they use depleted uranium armor now which is far superior. and you don't know anything about what makes a tank good if you discard all the american systems and sensors on there that make it as good as it is.
>I've never seen anything that would provide info on the plane have composites, it's entirely titanium.
Nice meme, faggot. Fuck off back to /k.

Cool Russian blog retard, I'm sure you really proved me wrong.
You realize there isn't even any visible or technical specifications saying there are composites, right?
You can LITERALLY see there isn't any, and the Russians admit they don't have any done.
>However, now quiet evolution of the T-50 itself is quite visible. According to TV channel STAR Alexander Davidenko, the proportion of composite materials in the total weight of the empty aircraft is 25%, and the surface of the plane - 70%. Widespread use of composites in aircraft design has allowed to reduce its mass, and also substantially facilitate the preparation of mass production.
Random TV host for a propaganda TV channel saying he "thinks" there is composites doesn't mean there is composites
This made me kek pretty hard you even linked this bullshit
This would be like is Jimmy Fallon went to an AFB, looked at the F35, and said it was made out of diamond
Ezo (a plane engineer tripfag on /k/ who works for Lockheed) confirmed the shop.
On closer observation of the engine intake, the blades are not symmetrical. Ezo posted the 3mb version of the picture so we could zoom in an see what he meant.
So yes, it was shopped.
uh why would we, F22 is better than anything else the Russians have, the F35 will be an even bigger gap than the F22 is, so why would we need to develop another frame when the Russians still haven't even caught up the F22? lmao
Link the thread in the archive, also lol'd if you think some random tripfag on /k/ can tell a shoop, there is no digital artifacting on the image that would imply an alteration.
There is literally a thread on /k/ right now where they are all shitting on that plane because of those ducts, they don't think its shooped at all.
Not him, but arguing that we are at least better than shit, isn't all that comforting.
The Russians are working with a post-Soviet nation of 140mil former communists and durkas.
We have 320 million semi-competent citizens.
I'd expect we'd be even further ahead desu.
>The F-22 is better than the F-35.
Nigger you don't even know which roles those planes fill if you just typed that, go back to having sex with monkeys, lmao.
>Nice meme, faggots.
Keep posting more irrelevant Russian blogs that literally prove nothing.
>I'd expect we'd be even further ahead desu.
We are two entire generations ahead, we built hundreds of F22s, the Russians haven't even started production on their meme plane yet, theres no point dude.
I mean for christs sake we got the Ford class carriers coming out and that is the most advanced ship this planet has ever seen, the US mil does some really cool shit.
This is from 4 months ago I have no fucking clue how to find that thread. There are a number of assholes who make Vatnik bait threads each day shitting up /k/. I can't find it.
The shop is extremely small and it is forming an extra line of blades on top of the others. It looks like they are melded.
I doubt the "imaging artefacts" would be able to be seem.
What I do know is engine blades don't look like that. So unless the Russians figured out new blades, that's shopped.
>Except you can literally search the pictures of an unpainted prototype in google and see its surface is almost entirely made of composites.
Thats titanium you fucking idiot, lmao
The specifications LITERALLY say there is no carbon composites in the frame
>Nigger you don't even know which roles those planes fill if you just typed that, go back to having sex with monkeys, lmao.
Are you black? I bet you are since you're so obssesed with shiny bling bling crap.
F-35 is jack of all trades master of none piece of shit. F-15 is better.
Shut up African-American.
>F-35 is jack of all trades master of none piece of shit. F-15 is better.
I wish Gookmoot would ban these monkeys like Moot did with the slavs back in the day.
Nope, they are metal, not carbon.
Prove me wrong.
He can say whatever the fuck he wants to propaganda blogs, doesn't mean shit dude, the plane is titanium and has no composites.
Russians can't even manufactor LCDs and you think they are capable of modern aerospace composites? Fucking retarded
That is clearly metal, composites, specifically hex composites do not look like that.
Those are LITERALLY titanium alloys.
Are you genuinely just posting this crap because you read it on some shitty propaganda blog? Do you know what aerospace composites even look like? Have you EVEN seen them before?
I've never even heard of Russians have aerospace grade composites being developed, let alone produced.
That picture doesn't prove anything, it's very well known in the aerospace community the Russians lack the ability to create them.
>All lies! Chief constructor lies, pictures lie! ALL LIES!
At this point I think my job here is done, lol.
>Literally a picture showing the plane's surface is almost entirely composite
>Doesn't know what does titanium look like
Keep trying though.
>The blades are literally the same ones in the AL-41
If you wanted to shoop it would you shoop in the F-18 engines or something? Of course whoever shooped it would shoop a Russian engine duh.
Wait, you ACTUALLY think that picture shows aerospace composites? Lol... oh man.
This is just embarrassing for you at this point.
Russians don't have the ability to make aerospace composites, it's a fact and documented thoroughly in the aerospace community, I don't care what some dickhead told a propaganda website blog, it's fact they can't do it.
protip for an aerospace newfag like yourself, composites don't come in plates like that, they are much larger and smoother blocks, those are metal plates
the russians are notorious for not having any developed, especially in the civilian world
>The PAK-FA currently is made of almost 100 percent titanium
Except everyone saw the pictures of unpainted prototypes.
>I've never even heard of Russians have aerospace grade composites being developed, let alone produced.
Google Su-47 then.
>That picture doesn't prove anything
>Picture of an unpainted prototype made of composites doesn't prove the prototype is made of composites
>YOUR PROOFS PROVE NOTHING AND ARE NOT PROOFS
Oh, I see.
>Picture of an unpainted prototype made of composites doesn't prove the prototype is made of composites
Those aren't composites though you retard? Jesus christ, you genuinely don't know what they look like and that is completely fine dude, just stop posting, this is so embarrassing for you.
It's a WELL DOCUMENTED fact the Russians don't have any manufacturing capability to produce aerospace grade composites dude.
Believe whatever the fuck you want, but facts are facts.
Wait, you actually don't know how does unpainted titanium look like? I would say that you are embarrassing yourself, but seeing your flag I am going to assume it's just your normal behaviour.
Protip for a troll like you: arguing with pictures only makes you look even more stupid.
keep up the shitposting dude
your lack of knowledge is astonishing but amusing to me, i'm getting a really nice laugh out of this
germans are always autistic but this is just sports entertainment tier lmao
>doesn't know what composites looks like
fuck me man, that is just too funny, i'm capping this thread for /k/ to see, the boys over there are going to have a field day
Name one Russian aerospace company that is able to do aerospace composites
>oh wait you can't
Also keking hard that a German cuck like you is a slavaboo after what they did to your country, that is just RICH
>Also keking hard that a German cuck like you is a slavaboo after what they did to your country, that is just RICH
the US used nuclear bombs on japan twice, and now japan is filled of USAboos
>Except I just posted a picture of a prototype made of composites.
Those aren't composites, you don't know what they even are/look like if you think that.
I don't know why you keep repeating yourself, there is zero evidence that the Russians manufacture aerospace grade composites, this is documented and a proven fact in the aerospace community.
>inb4 he posts the modular alloy plate pic again
My buddies at work are going to laugh at this.
Nope, try again. Pretty sure they even admit they don't do it.
Not even they can do it
Russians have to contract American companies to produce composites if they want to get something done
That alone should raise red flags, they can't even get commercial composites going and you think they have military grade composite frames? Not remotely possible
Except those literally are composites. You can see it on the picture.
>Wtf is Su-47?
So you are really banned in google?
>Pretty sure they even admit they don't do it.
Except I have already posted the literal quote of the project's chief designer that says they do.
>Except those literally are composites.
They aren't though...
That isn't what composites look like, at all.
>Except I have already posted the literal quote of the project's chief designer that says they do.
Saying and doing is completely different dude, no company in Russia produces aerospace grade composites, this is a fact, it's documented, you cannot argue it, it's very, very well known. Why do you think they contract American companies to work composites for them?
I'm not ravaged at all, it's a proven fact that there is no company in Russia that produces aerospace grade composites.
Everyone in the aerospace community and business world knows this, I don't care what some random angry German cuck thinks on 4chan, I'm right, you're wrong, the facts back me up on it.
>German cuck who worships the country that raped his country for half a century believes Russian aerospace can produce composites, despite it being extensively documented that they cannot do so
Does this retard even know that Russians think Fiberglass is a composite? They are a complete joke
Newfags to the plane world really grind my autism
that is the most hilarious part about all of this, russians are at least 20 years behind us in the west when it comes to composite manufacturing and this dude thinks they suddenly have a frame made out of it
can you imagine russian made resin on some of the material? omg
