If you could pick a Place and Time in history to be born
what would you choose?
Probably this or the future.
>In b4 retards picking the middle ages or the age of exploration or something
No, you're not going to be born as a nobleman or a general. You're going to be born as a disease-ridden peasant and die of smallpox.
>born during Yuan Dynasty
>fuck loads of chinese grills
I want to be sent back to the time of the second emu wars and prevent the death of the 6 million Emus
>mfw Caesar would kick your asses anyway
how could you possibly know?
ask old people if they expected a development similar to what we have reached already.
soon cars could drive completely automized, something they introduced under the headline ''what will the future look like'' in a book from our shelf in primary school
never could have imagined to be able to whitness something like that
the more we all as a race become civilized and distanced to our primal instincts, the closer the realization of the future will be
I have a few ideas I think are interesting:
>- early medieval ages, as a catholic monk [my preference]
it just suits my personality
>- baroque, as a musician
reason should be obvious
>- industrial revolution, as a small entrepreneur or maybe inventor
I like the flair, and making money/studying the new technologies of that time must have been very interesting
>Tfw you will never be a captain in a Roman legion
>You will never own several slaves
>You will never buy a ginger slave and treat her so good that she will start liking you
>You will never have a nice house where is now located Switzerland
Oh Germany, how far you have fallen. It saddens me to see you this way.
Your dollar isn't going to last. You've printed so much of it that if it all came flooding back into your country it would become more worthless that the Reichsmark during the Great Depression. Once your currency falls, then your economy falls and when that happens separatists are going to break your country apart.
Russia on the other hand has immense potential and the weapons to guard itself while it gets its gears going.
But why argue? Let's just live and see what happens :^)
best mindset, no complaining, just seeking for what to improve, high pace into the future concentrated on reality and concerned with the present
i see you're still a retard
>russians shift from muh winter to muh nukes
Nobody is going to attack your frozen shithole, Boris. You're a complete moron like any other Russian who actually thinks any country will collapse before your unstable and poor frozen hellhole of a wasteland.
>Nobody is going to attack your frozen shithole, Boris.
I'd have been an SS officer. I'd be harsh and brutal at first, but as the tide changes and as I realize that Germany is about to lose - I'd start saving Jews and other Holocaust victims. I'd be one of the Righteous Gentiles, write a book and milk my story for all its worth.
I'd use my money to invest in property in Munich. I'd slowly keep buying property in Munich and renting it. I'd become one of the most wealthy landlords in Europe. I'd retire to my small cabin in the Alps and my son, Karl, would inherit my property and all of my wealth.
No you don't understand, I would have to use a cloaking device to prevent getting in contact with anyone except from Franz Ferdinand. If he isn't convinced by my argument then demonstrating my future technology would do the trick.
The European and USA's economies bounce back every time.
Russia hasen't even recovered from ww2. The bear is in an alcohol and drug induced coma
What is potential worth when you're throwing it away to empower nationalists ideals?
The most recent year I could choose so that I'd enjoy the world at its best technological point.
Plus being an Israeli, the farther you go back in time the worst the situation here is.
2nd option would be 50s or 60s 'Murrika.
There is actually a lot of money going into it. But for a lot of people it's a taboo to talk about it because muh religion.

There is still a change that we'll get to live 500+ years
>Russia. 200 years in the future when we dominate the world.
this is possibly the funniest thing I've ever read.
let me tell you what is going to happen to Russia: in the next twenty or thirty years, mankind is going to start moving away from fossil fuels and perfect renewable energy technology, like solar cells. When that happens, Russia's economy is going to fall off a cliff, since oil and gas make up such a big chunk of the exports. If the Russian economy even lasts that long - the way things are going now, Putin may well antagonise the rest of the world into blockading Russia into poverty. And coincidentally, Putin is going to die sometime in the next twenty or thirty years (or at least grow too old to continue exercising power), so Russia's economic collapse may well coincide with its political collapse, because once Putin is gone the oligarchs will fight over Russia like rabid dogs over a scrap of meat.
And that's not even Russia's biggest problem. I don't know if you've been paying any attention to what's going on on your eastern border (Russians rarely seem to do so) but you might have noticed that the towns and cities on the border with China are starting to get a lot of Chinese immigrants. Now, at the moment this is simply population pressure - China is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, Russia one of the least; simple osmosis is pushing Chinese people into Russia. But sooner or later China's going to work out that just across from it's northern border is an area with practically no people and a whole lot of resources. And once that happens the border will become more and more porous, and more and more Chinese immigrants will flow across, until Siberia is basically a part of China. Understand - there probably won't be a military invasion. Just a huge demographic shift in the east.
and in the next 20 - 30 years Russia's capacity to defend itself is going to diminish. At the moment it's military strength is based around its vast nuclear arsenal. However, missile shield technology is developing rapidly, and may well render Russia's nuclear missiles obsolete in the next few decades. Unlike other powers like China and the USA, Russia isn't going to be able to upgrade its tech to counter this and bombs are useless if you have no means of delivering them. The world is going to become either bi-polar, with the USA and China, or maybe if the EU gets its shit together tri-polar - either way, Russia is going to be caught in the middle, a second rate player in a game where there are no prizes for second place.
russia will lose its eastern half to china, and the EU will probably absorb a lot of its western sphere of influence (like Belarus and Ukraine). With all the chaos, ethnic minorities will probably revolt and set up their own independent republics. Anything that's left will be impoverished and gripped by violent political chaos - the only reason any of Russia will survive at all is because it'll provide a convenient buffer between the west and china.
Of course, this could be prevented if Russia got rid of Putin and allied with the west against China (who don't really want to see China's influence expand). But since Russians seem perfectly happy to go along with Putin's pig-headed insistence on replaying the cold war, that's not likely to happen.
Nigga are u fucking serious? Renewable energy is a giant investment that will take half a century to become profitable, aint nobody got time for that, everyone wants to cash out as soon as possible and nobody really gives a shit about 50 years from now when they will most likely be dead.
>Aren't you Franks who became Latinized?
no, there was no replacement of the population by the Franks, just a small addition - or else why would they have become Latinized if they didn't have to deal with a big Latin-speaking population? Although by the time the Franks came a lot, the locals simply called themselves Romans, not Gauls, they were in fact the Romanised descendants of the celtic peoples of Gaul.
