Can we have an art literature thread?
Books that deal with art, different movements, argue different concepts, encourage, discuss etc.
I'll start with the obvious must read book. It's a collection of letters to students and notes than anything else, but I think it's essential for any artist for he really digs at what the art spirit is, encourages you to see from your perspective, puts into words an artists mindset, talks about the mental approach to creating art. Cannot recommend The Art Spirit enough.

i really love that book!!
seems more appropriate for /ic/ tho imo unless they delete this topic
either way, try posting new thread in /lit/ as well to see if there are interested people. don't forget to include creativity (so that it's not only for artists but also for people in general) that ought to catch attention from other ppl.
also, try postin shit in artbook thread too
anyway mine:
art spirit (ofc)
art and fear by david bayles (helps to solve your fears and doubts about creating the art-- especially fears after graduating shit)
creative habit by twyla harp
manage day to day by jocelyn glei is good too for tools to keep your habits consistency
haven't read much on artists' books like van gogh's letters and others
