>What is The Foundation Group?
Looking to hone your skills in the fundamentals within 1 to 2 years? Look no further and join /ic/s most serious art study group--The Foundation Group! Serious applicants ready to take their art to the next level will post their studies in this thread amongst their peers simply for the adrenaline factor, share tips, and compare what each person did. The threads shall serve as documentation for all of /ic/ to witness serious progress.
The goal is to set up an *anonymous school with classmates at exactly your level or slightly above so that we all start at square 1. Studying can be dull, boring, and not motivating if you have no rivals and that is the spirit of this thread. This is NOT a beginner thread and has set specific videos to watch however you're more than welcome to use additional resources for more knowledge on topics.
Grace period starts today from 1/9/16-1/16/16 for week 1 assignments to get people on board.
We have a Skype group for assignments and most talking will be done there; as a healthy reminder no shitposting will not be tolerated. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Any off-topic in the slightest and you will be get my boot up your rear. If you want to join off-topic /ic/ group just message me at my skype handle: https://join.skype.com/AqSDW8xicLUv admin: haru
I'll join, will share brainstorm school foundation course files, as those are great examples an theory (not videos)
we should make a rank system inside the group, with a fixed % of participants to promote to next rank weekly, because to mix different skill levels won't help anyone
giving a fixed amount of feedback to other participants should be mandatory
I think you should add this
to the OP-post (if there'll be another thread)
lol This shitty group removed me because of a smiley 'xD' Haru has a huge Mangina and just kicks people randomly like their sacks of shits, don't join this shit group
For anyone who is thinking of joining, the OP/Admin left, sadly. If you were like me and hoping for a group with a slight idea of a curriculum and direction it's unfortunately unlikely you'll find it here. The group is trying to pick up the pieces now, if you wish to help or possibly take "lead' you can still join.
OP, everyone gets cold feet, its up to what you want to do, but I hope you consider coming back.
Really great idea, OP. I won't join because I am already working on my portfolio and I don't want to be associated with IC when it's ready. Good luck, and too bad it didn't happen 6 months ago, or so.
>and I don't want to be associated with IC when it's ready
Thanks but are you really afraid of what the 14-18 year olds say about you? /ic/ is a very small community in a tiny corner of the internet.
With that said, there might be a new thread later to avoid confusion as we've finished setting everything up. ~35 people joined thus far but since this isn't a perfect world time will tell if most people who joined will go through the program.
> not for beginners
Heh, maybe I'll join in the future. Someday...
