People have differing levels of sex drives, its in our genes. Some people just have no sexual attraction, it doesn't mean they are medically ill. In that same vein, someone who has no sex drive and doesn't care is asexual. Someone who has no sex drive, and is having terrible living the life they want to lead because of it has a disorder.

Now that's not to say low sex drive can't be a symptom of other things like, most commonly, depression, but that would only be the case if the patient had a sex drive and subsequently experienced a lessened sex drive.

For the actual act of masturbation, just think about your as a orifice substitute. You're simulating the standard fucking motion by moving your hand instead of thrusting your penis.
For unspoken rules: use lube if you can. It's not necessary, many people masturbate without it, but if you're masturbating a lot due to hormones it can help avoid friction burns, not to mention it's just generally more comfortable.

Nice false equivalency. Gay people have a sex drive. The problem was never about the fact that we had sex, it was who we had sex with - which is what the phrase 'sexual orientation' refers to. You can't have an orientation for no one.

Making the active decision to not have sex or masturbate is different from physically lacking any sex drive. People who call themselves 'asexual' are generally one of three things:
1. Special snowflake tumblrinas
2. People who are too focused on other things in their life to care about sex.
3. People who've decided to be celibate for whatever reason.

Lacking any drive to have sex is probably a hormonal problem.
