Is it true that rape was used as a weapon against conquered Muslim women by the crusaders?
>Year of our Lord 2016
>people still believe this
>the Chivalric code
I bet you believe in Bushido too.
No, massacres however were
>people saying templars were JIDF shills
<mfw they (crusaders) literally genocided jewish and muslim jerusalemi population and said how awesome it was
Well, we're asking if rape was used as a weapon. It might have happened, but rape as some sort demoralization weapon certainly wasn't employed, since the Crusades were lead by the Church.
Which is why they were depicted as BBC-pushing cunt craving rapists?
>the Crusades were lead by the Church.
oh g-d my saides
They weren't really targeting Muslims outside one or two massaraces in Jerusalem. Quite the opposite actually, lower taxes made the crusader states a place many Muslims from Seljuk lands settled which is lamented by said Seljuks in their memoirs and letters of state.
>"greatest phenomenon of massrapein history", and has concluded that at least 1.4 million women were raped in East Prussia, Pomerania and Silesia alone. According to Natalya Gesse, Russian soldiers raped German females from eight to eighty years old. Russian women were not spared either.
I thought the Germans had it worse.
>only ate three meals a week as a devotion to Christ
And these dumb fucks chose to wage war. I'm certain some Templar lives could have been saved, or even battles won, if the Knight actually had regular caloric intake.
It's actually Muslims and people who are associated with Islamic cultures. I've asked several of them. There are a surprising number of Turks browsing this board and they've all got a bone to pick with Europe.
They were devoted to Christ, not calories.
What is that supposed to mean? Like they had a policy in place to rape women specifically to demoralize? I think it's a lot more likely they did it because they were horny/for the lulz. If you wanted to use rape to pacify and demoralize troublemakers, you would rape the men.
>implying any army ever before the advent of the film camera didn't rape.
You have a basic misunderstanding of the nature of man and violence if you think that rape is abnormal in times of war, my friend.
no anon, weapons were used as weapons against conquered muslim women by the crusaders
like pic related
rape, torture, piullage etc... is just what conquering armies do to people, theres was no distinct weaponisation of it in the crusades specificaly, shit just got done as usual
not that there arent historical examples of such things being used systematicaly, but i doubt crusaders were systematic enough to think of that, or to prevent it in any case
its all just humans being... human
