Mind knows that it is coming to an end somewhere along the line, and its survival, its continuity, its status quo depends upon the continuity of the body.
But body is not in any way involved with the thought, because it has no beginning, it has no end. It is the thought that has created the two points -- this is the birth and that is the only death you will ever know.
The idea that we're just these crude and shitty bodies is so absurd lmao
when you die your consciousness expands to the entire universe. don't debate me on this it's true. confirmed.
I died as a mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was Man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?
Yet once more I shall die as Man, to soar
With angels blest; but even from angelhood
I must pass on: all except God doth perish.
When I have sacrificed my angel-soul,
I shall become what no mind e'er conceived.
Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence
Proclaims in organ tones, 'To Him we shall return.'
-Jalal ad-Din Rumi (1207-1273)
The internet would go down if most of the computers died. Why is that relevant?
Our bodies are merely machines composed of borrowed matter, through which our souls are given the interface & ability to interact with the material world, using the experience for either good or evil. The brain is just an intermediary, our bodies are not "us".
This doesn't negate our lives, however.
>"When the body dies, does the mind die with it?"
>When a computer breaks down[dies], does the Internet go with it?
He's comparing the computer to the body and the internet to consciousness
I didn't write it, and you obviously aren't the brightest for no being able to pick it up.
ok /his/ what do you think of my theory?
you know when you fall asleep for 10 minutes but it feels like an hour?
what if that happens when you die. like the amount of chemicals released in your brain at death induce a dream like reality that lasts forever (or seemingly) forever.
kinda like you live one thousand lifetimes in one moment.
what do you think?
sounds like bliss
inb4 you die, thousands to millions to billions of years pass.
the universe fades away, then the big bang happens again.
You get recreated out of your past cells.
eventually after countless of universes dying, one day your body will be reunited.
