What books do I read to have a general pleb's understanding of history?
I'm almost totally clueless about all periods except ancient Greece, so I'd appreciate some good narratives.
>These barbaric beasts
>Horses and Red-heads
Face it OP, if you're a pleb you're probably not going to read any history book.
Just watch this instead.
Durant exemplifies whig history, did no archival research, and wrote specifically to demonstrate the superiority of western civilisation.
You can't get a more anti-Rankean work than someone like Spengler who is a misinterpreted mystic.
>Aren't those a bit outdated? They do mention the Aryan invasions and from what I've heard that theory is no longer a good one
They are a bit outdated, the earliest were written with books from the 1970s in the 1980s.
On the other hand the point is teaching a pleb how to read history, and they do that job.
