If I want to buy them do I just look in the ask section for the best offer ("4,797 kGP @ 306 Credits" being the top one right now) and put the offer into the sell column to buy the credits?

I've tried HappyPanda but it ends up using tons of space and requires me to reorganize/remane nearly everything.

I have amassed a sizable hentai collection over the years, and sorted part of it into a lot of folders. I've got some folders for artists, and others for content. I try to avoid duplicate images between the two by sheer memory, which grows less accurate as time passes and my collection grows.
I would like to organize all my stuff into some kind of offline booru, using tags. How can I do that? Does any of the links in the OP serve that purpose, and which ones? Is it possible to do it on a mac?

Hydrus, read the help section on the site's wiki, play around with it to get a better understanding of it. It has a duplicate finder and does a shit ton of other stuff but again, you gotta play around with it to get a better understanding of it. It's almost hard to mess up anything so you don't have to worry about fucking up something if things go wrong. Only downside is it still sucks at sorting images in the way you want them especially if you relied on file names to order your images, just gotta wait for an update that'll let you sort them better.

These filters can be added and removed on demand in the settings. I designed it according to how I manage my music library with foobar. I like having an overview over all tags and important namespaces. My usage pattern also shows that filters work better with a big amount of data than search. I mainly use the filters to look through my music, and only for very specific songs I use the search function. I think that this usage pattern translates to galleries reasonably well.

Tag autocomplete was already implemented in the prototype HWatch, so that is no problem, too.

I've come at a point I finally have enough money to get me better computer, and so... space.

I've amassed around 50 Go (pictures, hentai etc.), and now I've multiplace questions.

- Allow using your own picture viewer
- Big plus: downloading stuff from Panda freely

Yes, hence why I looked for hydrus. I'm not sure about this one though, if better than that I'll be glad to hear.

I guessed much, but still not sure about pirating it (yeah, guilt in 2017). Grabber is enough I think, but without Panda. I see some tools like eze for this though.

Torrent is fine, but I live by the idea: ratio:1 minimum. I'm not sure I'll be able to keep it, often some torrent are barely used.

For Hydrus >>4723852 it does almost everything, there's almost no reason to not use it for single images. Eze is ok for small things but HDoujin Downloader(cracked) is far better with a shit ton of options in that you can bookmark and schedule massive ammounts of links for downloads and not just from sadpanda either, can also convet to any .zip/cbz/cbr file and edit how you want to download them(change the name, choose what pages not to download, ect.).

As for HappyPanda, it hasn't had full support in over a year, not counting those last small final bug fixes same for PandaViewer. So any problems you may encounter may or may not have a work around. HappyPanda dev dropped support for HappyPanda and is moving on with HappyPanda X which should be a lot better to work with than the previous one but still no release date yet. For me personally, I'm just going to wait for HappyPanda X. You never know if you're wasting your time or shooting yourself in the foot still using HP.

For doujins I just do them by letter then artist(Doujins/R/Reddrop), if there's multiple artists then I just put it under whichever artist comes first in the alphabet. Probably not a good idea for the later but it useually doesn't matter if you're using a doujin organzing program(happypanda, pandaviewer, ect.) since you can find everything once they're entered into them. Same for CG's and anything else that comes in a big collection. For single images like the ones from the different booru's and Pixiv, Hydrus is all you need, read the OP.

I think "new" is a relative term in this regard. You're assuming that everyone that browses the website already has all of this "hidden" content to begin with. If I am just recently interested in Yamatogawa, I wouldn't necessarily be aware of the US IP block for Power Play, and I would probably miss out on the tankoubon. Perhaps a poor example because there is an expunged gallery available as well, and same with a torrent on nyaa. But the point stands - there's no clear indication as to why I'm forbidden from viewing the gallery on the page, nor does it even show up in a search query (it does on Google, though).

I keep dōjinshi and magazine/tank in different folders. It's better when artist team up for dōjinshi, just put it in the 1st artist name appearing, or just the one doing the most.

Advance Renamer is a good program for mass file name changing, works for any file type. Generally you don't really want to change a folder or .zip name from the site you got them from as some of these doujin reading programs rely heavily on those names since some need to search the site for that exact name. This is what can really screw a lot of people over if they went around changing the doujin folder or zip name, just download or name them how the site has them. If the site or uploader used a really shitty naming structure, try to correct it if needed.

You can rename your folders to anything you want with Happypanda, you just have to manually add the infomantion to HP yourself. Basically just copying and pasting the link of that doujin to that folders entery should be enough and HP will grab the tags and stuff. The auto searching and grabbing tags when adding doujin to HP is just to make things simpler, you don't have to use it or rely on it. All HP really needs is the links and it will get everything.

If you mean six GB/gigs then its just the way Hydrus imports images, unlike most image viewers, when you import/drag and drop/ ect. into Hydrus it basically copies your images into one of the Hydrus folders, sounds dumb I know. I kind of forgot the main reason why it needs to do this but another reason is to prevent you from fucking up your normal image folder as you can pull things back out of Hydrus as if nothing changed(name is the same and all). So if you're going to import a big folder into Hydrus, make sure you have extra storage space. You can also go into the settings for Hydrus and tell it what to do after you import yout images for example, like delete your main images or image folder since Hydrus has them already saved you don't need your main images that you've imported and like I said earlier, you can pull things back out of Hydrus as if nothing has changed. gocleyallpho

Ideally, this would be through web applications that I can host on the server so any device on my network only needs a browser, but I'm still open to options.

Based on my reading it seems like hydrus can be hosted on your own server (but I'm not sure how the client would work). What solutions are out there for doujinshi/videos? Anyone have experience with this kinda stuff?

The "resources" guide for translators is infuriatingly out of date. Every other person listed there (and NOT under historical) has long since stopped translating or at least accepting commissions. I just want someone who isn't backed up, accepts traps, and doesn't charge $1.50 per page.

Don't know about android, but I can't recommend a cheap windows tablet. The only scanlation related thing I use mine for is the pen to handwrite certain sfx. Everything else is better left to a real computer (both translating and editing)

If you still want to do it on a windows tablet, photoshop works okayish on a cherry trail processor. CSP runs better. Never tried inkscape or gimp on it, but I think gimp would run a little better than photoshop. You should also get a one that comes with a keyboard, mouse and pen support.

Is anyone interested in mirroring/setting up their own clone of some hentai site?

I implemented a scraper which scrapes metadata in multiple steps from websites you specify. I used this data to stress test my server to see if it makes sense to continue development.

Testing shows that my server should handle million galleries with about 100k tags well. Complex queries with the complete ehentai database (~400k galleries) are handled under a second, most queries are pretty much instant.

If someone other than me is interested in self-hosting their hentai collection I'll put more effort in documenting the server and the components. Bear in mind, while the server will be easy to use once running, setting it up will require some effort even with documentation. This is different to using HappyPanda and PandaViewer to view your local collection.

If you want to implement your own front end (with e.g. your favorite javascript farmework) give me some feedback on the API, if possible. I'll concentrate on the JavaFX client, my main focus will be desktop, not mobile viewing.

Does anybody use honeyview or something similar? I'm looking for something like honeyview but with a feature to split landscape images into two, so when you have two manga pages in one image, it only show the right half, and you can scroll down and then it will jump to the top-left half.

I swear I had a version of honeyview that did this before, but I can't find it anymore.

I should add, I tried CDisplayEx, which sort of does it, but it scrolls weird. When you reach the bottom of the image, it just starts scrolling left from the bottom, instead of jumping to the top. Not to mention CDisplayEx is less convenient than Honeyview because you can't just open an image and then be viewing the entire folder. You need to manually open the whole folder.
