Could someone tell me if I'm completely getting something wrong? I'm getting really confused with the pastebin right now.

I got the 1.20 backup from the torrent. I got the IPA and plopped all the .exes onto the IPA .exe. I hope I'm right in understanding that these are the basic steps to get anything to work.
Now I'm a bit confused in which order I have to do things on the pastebin in. There's a section that says installation order, but it doesn't seem to explain any order in which to do things in. It does have a link labeled "english translation installation" (https://pastelink.net/4dpp) which links to a download to Full_UITranslation_Repack_01.07.2017. I got that and put the files into my game archive like I assume I'm supposed to. It did absolutely nothing, game not translated.

I assume I'm getting something fundamentally wrong. I think I just need some sort of nudge in the right direction because I swear to fuck I'm not technologically incapable usually

The Backup already has everything included, other then the two updates that came out recently are missing. For the English Translation, I removed the translation order because it's not needed anymore when you have a Full Package. Just extract it into your Honey Select and overwrite the files and run IPA again.

I just repeated the process but this time I used the english patches seperately, and it's now partially translated. Stuff like the options in the character maker are still all moonrunes.

No, it's just another application. You can use Neo and the old studio at the same time.

Compared to previous Illusion games, it's ridiculously easy to mod.
The install is not that hard unless you try to rush it and skip a few steps - fucking it over.
There's a lot of guides by now and even a couple of modded installs or all-in-one mod bundles

Adds a simple VR version of the HoneySelect (from girl/room setup screen straight to action, positions mapped to vr controls) and a VR plugin for StudioNEO. Use M key to activate. Also if you don't want Neo to start SteamVR you can just rename its' own Plugins folder (which should only contain vr dlls).

You can also install the mod mainly to get VR for the original HS and old studio.

The ik mod actually works better in NEO now than it ever did in original studio. Esepcially since you can mod in gimmicks and the extra bone are all useable, though some you have to actually type in.

The problem is, people assume the pastebin and hf are the be all end all for updates and the mod hasn't been updated on hf for months, despite it being updated on an almost weekly basis right now.

At this point there is no reason to be using the old studio outside of just not wanting to learn neo. Anyone suggesting that no one is modding the new studio isn't paying attention.


For new people reading yes LRE and 4k patch break the game if you have installed the latest 6/30 patch. You can use studio, but you can't use the main game. Plastic mind hasn't commented about it yet so is maybe away for the weekend, or can't figure it out or worst case gave up on it. Which means you revert to pre 6/30 or wait and hope it gets fixed.

It saves you a ton of headache when certain mods break your game until updated to match the latest version +DLC patches. For example, right now the latest 0630 update doesnt work at all with certain 4k mods. This is good because you can choose whether or not you feel the DLC or the mod is more important by installing at your own pace. Piecemeal or fully cocked.

Grab the "all" (fully cocked) after getting your 1.20 and you should be gtg bby. Beware though, should you choose to go straight to 0630, you will miss out until certain mods are updated. Oh and do use jsgme. This allows you to reverse anything that breaks your game. Saved me a ton.

I have a really weird problem. I downloaded the 1.20 backup, and installed the english patch, and as soon as a launch the game, any custom cards I've put in /userdata/chara/female get deleted and I can't see them ingame.
