Flashlights from olight, nitrcore, fenix...
$200+ for a 2 mode sub 400 lumens, led flashlight from surefire, no thanks
$40 gets me a premium flashlight that is brighter, has more modes, more features, and just as rugged as a surefire.

Surefire has always been maximum meme because of their penetration into police forces and the military. When power LEDs first became a thing they and Maglite got fucking annihilated in terms of performance without any way to respond for quite some time.
Pic related. It's a braindead simple light that only had decent (~60 lumen) output because it relied on very expensive lithium batteries to drive a xenon lamp at 6V. Retailed around a hundred bucks and even with a price tag like that it had this shitty plastic retaining ring for the lens that had a habit of cracking because fucking surprise, thermal stress from being right next to a 6V xenon lamp.

What is your policy on reviews anons? Do you leave them? Do you give positive or negative reviews?

If I'm satisfied, I always leave a 5 star review. If I'm not, I contact the seller and if he fixes shit for me, I also leave a 5 star review.

If I'm not satisfied with something, I don't leave a review. I never leave negative reviews since it's against my interests to do so.

You?

Ec21 uses a cree led, almost all flashlights use a cree led. As far as the physical quality of the flashlight, it's great. No defects of any kind. Always works. Right now I only have an EC4 and an EC21. The Ec4 has a high parasitic drain but that's ok for my use case. It feels super solid, use it all the time. EC21 takes an eternity to drain the battery. I use the ec4 way more often though.

The bm-800. There are bundles for $20 with a boom arm and phantom power supply is about $10. It sounds nice enough on its own but I really recommend using a proper audio interface, it will rival $150+ mics even without any modding.

alright /csg/, I want some suggestions

First, phone
-Great battery
- decent specs (note 4x - like?)
- software moddable, that is, good community support, accepts good amount of custom roms, not pain in the ass to root

I was looking at the Oukitel K10000 Pro, and the battery made me cream my pants, but
- not that decent specs
- leather (inb4 vegan)
- I really don`t know the brand, I`m afraid it will fall apart easily

I don`t care about slim phones, they can be rugged.
The note 4x, the lenovo kuz , etc are decent specs, but the battery, not so great
One that attracted me is the Lenovo P2, but I would like recommendations on it.

Second, fitness tracker
- I am fat
- Would like to keep something counting my fat steps
- Infographic says mi band is innacurate for that

I would like a pebble, but no cheap place ships to me.

Also, please don`t recommend products only on amazon/US stores, I`m from Brazil.
>>
>>62163634
The battery life on the Note 4/Note 4X exceed the Oukitel K1000 Pro. 2 days battery on a single charge. Snapdragon 625 is much more efficient on battery life than Mediatek. You don't sound like you understand phone specs at all. Bigger numbers doesn't always mean better, a 10,000mah battery is pointless if the processor is inefficient and gulps it up rapidly.

If you're fat stop wasting money on fitness trackers and cut back on your food. You don't need a gadget to help you lose weight. It's just going to end up in a drawer like all the other gimmicks you've bought into like all the other fatties. Nothing works other than calorie restriction & exercise.
>>
>>62163676
> Bigger numbers doesn't always mean better, a 10,000mah battery is pointless if the processor is inefficient and gulps it up rapidly.

No, I don`t understand it as well as most of you. That`s why I asked for help.
That`s good to know, though. I really don`t want something that lasts a day.

>You don't need a gadget to help you lose weight
I`m already cutting food and exercising anon, I just want something to keep track of it. Right now, I map my run with google maps after I return home, but I wanted something more accurate. My area is kinda dangerous and I don`t want to bring a phone, though.

Thanks, anon.

Check Kimovil.com and it'll tell you all you need to know, the Oukitels aren't even the best rugged phones. Blackview tend to be better. I'd stick to something with a Snapdragon processor though. Redmi Note 4 Global is ideal as it has the bands necessary for 4G across the EU.

That's a bit of a hack solution, why don't you get an external case actually made for making an external drive, or perphaps a drive that's already external?

>>62161922
I give reviews and I happily give them 4 or 2 or 1 star reviews if that's appropriate.

If I for example bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones and they have poor sound quality or a high level of white background-noise then I'm going to give it 1 or 2 stars and state exactly why I did that.

I also check reviews and specially the 1 and 2 star reviews before buying something. Sometimes people point out things that are of interest there.
>>

I have a MiBand 2, step counter is quite accurate (I'd say it's within 95%). Hearth rate monitor is shit, it might as well not have it.
Can't beat it for the price, and you can even use Gadgetbridge with it for not selling your soul to the chink.

I've seen some review of the Amazfit Bip and it seems cool, it even has GPS so you can track your runs without your phone.
Xiaomi still has to release the english/international version tho.

There is a English version of the Amazfit PACE. you can buy it on gaybest.

It just sucks that you can't install any Android watch apps on it but it already got everything you basically need.
>>
>>62165287
But >170 is not special for running... why do you think the readings aren't accurate enough?

And I do get a readout even with sweat and running, but obviously the band needs to be tight enough for the sensor to press a bit against your arm.

those portable DVD/BluRay writers that use USB cables to connect actually have a small microcontroller in them that verifies data and also has a small buffer. That's why they're more expensive.

writing over USB to SATA drive is just bad news. that's why the sellers don't advertise it and why manufacturers don't recommend it.

how many times have you installed windows 7 on an apollo lake chinkbook? zero times, great thanks for playing along

the way chris at techtablets gets manjaro to boot is by taking an iso writing it to a usb stick and then booting into the live environment and then "installing" to a second usb stick with persistence which uses the refind boot manager instead of grub (which doesnt work on 95% of chinkbooks with apollo lake)

this is hardly "easy" to get yourself into a live environment. From there you need to create partitions and try and install refind to the EFI yourself and hope it works. 9 times outta 10 it wont.

or just use isorespin.sh on any debian based shitro and be on your merry way

He literally shows himself plugging a Manjaro live USB into a Cube iWork 5X, showing that most of the drivers work and saying it installs just fine to an SSD or eMMC. Chuwi also released a bios update specifically to allow linux installs. They all work flawlessly with Linux now.

Not really getting into the tea thing yet, just want some basic tea that could go nicely with milk. Would like to order from internet because everything where I live is expensive as shit and not much (if any) options. Should be in EU tho so no toll or taxes on top of the price, altought I think they won't be costing so much that they'd get stuck in the toll (limit is like 30€ or something)

What flavors are there even? Thank you for the respond.

You do realize any engineering discipline at the academic level is much harder than a CS degree? Most engineering degrees require more credits to graduate than a CS degree. CS is literally a cakewalk compared to engineering.

I think you meant "absolutely rapes and murders". And you should sort out your gain/levels/whatever. If you can, that is.
Here's my bm800 through a behringer audio interface with 48v phantom power: https://a.pomf.cat/tdmltj.mp3 (as featured on the chink podcast #whatever)
I guess the noise floor is a bit higher than it would be for a simple voice recording as there are multiple tracks. You should probably do the mod that is floating around if you care about that (which I assume you do).

32GB, apps take a lot of space nowadays and you probably want all your media on the SD card. Using the merge sd card with ROM function sucks because it makes your SD card outside of your phone useless.

T-thank you. It makes me cringe fairly hard when I play it back. I thought about re-recording the vocals at the time, but like most great artists know you're never completely happy with what you make, so at some point you just have to put it out there.
I do a pretty mean cover of Rihanna's 'Stay' as well. Or the chorus anyway.

No, but it's not as easy money as you think. Google dropshipping, that's your competition, and it's huge. Plus if you actually import before selling it on you'll incur VAT, or whatever the taxes are called in your country.
>>
>>62171650
Better to use Alibaba tbqh. Aliexpress is better for dropshipping
