I don't have any sports injuries or otherwise. I have a brother who had an ankle injury that put him out for 3 months. Every doctor told him they wanted to operate. He just started jogging again because he was already in shape and is back to running 6 minute miles.

It's pretty simple actually. I got a weather seal for the door frame (~$10), 2 door seals, one rubber one for the inner seal, and another one for over the top of that one (~$25-40 for both) and then 12mm thick high density foam (don't even bother unless you are going to use the right stuff. Low density acoustic foam won't do anything), they didn't have any 12mm panels left so I just got 2 6mm instead (~$130).

If you want to make it significantly better put a sheet of 6-9mm plywood on the door and then cover it with foam. I rent the house though, so I didn't want to put holes in everything.
