this is a common problem when installing an incompatible supersu/root. find a supersu you know will work, do a full reflash of the rom and try again. if you're able to access twrp you could try uninstalling your incompatible supersu, wiping cache and dalvik and booting, but i doubt it'll work.

There's no real variety in ROMs these days. AOSPE stands out a bit as it's based on pure AOSP, not LOS. And LOS itself is as barebones as ever. First try ROMs that are unique to your phone, then AOSP-based ROMs, the LOS-based ones, and stick with whichever works the best on your particular phone.
>>
>>60728538
Things like Doze On The Go (stops significant motion like walking and driving from interrupting doze mode) and coalescing the wakeup timers. I'm not entirely sure how much of a difference those make but I have to imagine it isn't harming my battery life.

There's also Amplify which I'm concerned about, the paid version of which gives you full control over the various wakelocks on a davice.
>>
>>60728799
Thank you, I'm currently running LineageOS and it's ok but also wanted to try both AOSPE and ResurrectionRemix, all have official builds for my phone.

I already told my problem. They are useless unless your phone is filled with garbage. Same goes for RAM cleaners. All of this stuff duplicates capabilities already built into Android. Undervolting can get some results. Forcedoze can get some results as well, but only because it disables Doze's retarded dependence on motion sensors. The king of battery saving is, and always will be, simply disabling the mobile data.

What phone should I get? Everywhere I look the flagships are very expensive and the lower ends are shitty. Why there isn't no high end market that isn't as expensive as a full fledged flagship?

Even if they are expensive, I've considered getting either the Xperia XZ Premium (especially because I like Sony and I receive those expensive headsets with the phone), or the S8 (the design looks good, but I heard it's fragile and the software its a laggy fest).

Any phone I've missed that it's in the 500-600 euros category?

>Does Nougat have noticeably better battery life than Marshmallow?

It depends on the phone and the ROM, it really does.

The battery-life on my BV6000 became a whole lot shorter, noticeably so, after "upgrading" from Marshmallow to Nougat (with their official OTA update).

This doesn't need to be the case, though, there are phones that have gotten better battery life too. So it depends.

Snapdragon 835 is obviously better than that Helo P25 in games performance, but is the rest of the phone better? For the price it could be a real deal doer.

Going to holidays in a month and need a small phone.
I have a Samsung S7 Edge, with only one SIM slot.
The phone I need has the following requirements:
>4G

I will use it only to provide my main phone with internet using a cheap sim card from the other country.

What's a cheap phone with 4G and Hotspots? I absolutely don't care about anything else.

Hi /spg/, Amerifat here.
I'm looking for a phone just to listen to music with, I need the highest audio quality and storage possible.
Hope to spend around 300$, but I can go over.
Size shoud be small enough to fit in my pocket or sit on my lap comfortably.
I don't really need a data plan, but I'm not really sure if I can do that, haven't bought my own phone until now.
>>
>>60742414
If you're literally only going to listen to music with it then why not get a dedicated music player?
I've got the Fiio X3 and it's awesome, and also works as a great DAC for my PC at home.
>>

Because I didn't know one with great quality and large storage space.

Help me guys.
I'm in the US and I use Verizon.

I need to buy a new phone asap (2 yr old galaxy core won't charge anymore). I was looking for something cheap and settled on the LG G5. The problem is that Verizon wants to charge $20 for 24 months ($480 total) for it. First of all, I don't want my monthly bill going up and secondly, that same device is available on ebay for about $160.

I'm worried that if I buy the phone online, I'll have issues getting it activated. I've never done this before. Someone please give me some advice on buying devices online and getting them activated.

The Moto G5 Plus is pretty big for a 5.2" phone thanks to the large bezels. There's many 5.5" phones that are similar size, even the 5.8" Galaxy S8 and 5.7" LG G6 are smaller than the Moto G5 Plus.

that projector mod is crazy though, I would love that. though the practical me knows you could get a projector of the same quality and nearly as small with better features for like $180 instead of $335 which is nearly the cost of the phone in itself.

Upgrading my S5 soon, any recommendations for a plan cuck like myself? (AUS)

Thoughts on OnePlus 5?
How are other OnePlus phones? I've heard so little about them aside from "they're pretty good".
>>
>get new Galaxy Tab S3
>not rooted or tampered with otherwise
>updated all software to latest versions
>get frequent messages about Samsung's keyboard (which I don't even use) crashing
Is this the power of touchjizz ?

what is the screen resolution?? I see 720p in some sites and 1080p in other.
>>
>>60756447
1. Don't buy LG.
2. If you want Samsung, ONLY buy the Exynos version.
3. If you can't get the Exynos Samsung, get a OnePlus or something.

720p

The G5 by far

>only buy exynos
Why? Isn't Snapdragon the good one of the two?
>>
>>60757436
Both are good, the exynos cpu is usually slightly faster, but it has a weaker gpu than the snapdragon
>>
>>60757436
At least with S7 and S8 the Exynos version has better performance and battery life than the Snapdragon one

My old galaxy s3 lte (gt-i9305) has 4,4,4 with knox in it
can i just flash custom rom or will knox fuck up something? i don't care about triangle warning in the bootloader

I don't know a lot about this tech stuff. Is cpu or gpu more important for overall speed / fps in games?
>>
>>60757741
That's the thing.
CPU for overall performance
Gpu for games and other graphics intensive stuff
In the end the exynos and the snapdragon are very close in performance so it doesn't really matter that much

iphone se

As I recall, it's usually a tradeoff between slightly faster single thread performance and slightly faster multi thread performance.

I'd like an android app with password lock that encrypts images so that they can only be viewed through that app. Free or availble through mobilism.

no, thanks

As someone with a 1440p phone, why would you want more than 1080p ?

Should I unchink my Redmi Note 3?

I like MIUI, but I've been wondering if it's worth moving to Lineage OS.

Anyone manage to get the Keyone yet?
>>
>>60761926
My source is the official retailer that immediately connected to the pay button the minute that the product became available for sale.
>>
>>60747780
Theres no way they are charging under 500 for a 835 and 6gbs of ram.

If you absolutely do not want to spend more than 500 just go for the 3t
>>
>>60762311
This, most people are arguing that with the trend in price increase with each new release that a price of $550+ wouldnt be surprising.
That said I have seen a lot of shills wondering around spouting $650 like its gospel despite having no credible sources.
>>
>>60762311
>>60762501
Unless it's actually only 1920x1080. Then 350-400 is almost too expensive instead.

maybe try asus zenfone zoom. 5000 mAh battery plus lower specs for lower power draw (sd625, I think FHD screen)
