My Xiaomi Redmi 4A has arrived, /csg/ents. Didn't realise this phone takes a mini SIM instead of the now-standard micro SIM, so now I have to go out and get an adapter for that shit. Also, there appears to be no UK locale option. Hopefully they add this in an update.

So, this is the Wing Sung 698. It is currently my favourite pen, tied with the Kaweco AL-Sport. I have it inked with Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji, nib is EF.

This pen is very nice. It writes smoothly and reliably. It's got a large ink capacity. It looks good, especially when filled with a lighter ink like this.

The nib has not dried out on me once. I'd wholly recommend this. It usually goes for about 15$ CAD on Taobao.

Redragon Kumara K552 tenkeyless mechanical keyboard

The switches in the keyboard are supposed to emulate Cherry MX Greens but they feel identical to every Cherry MX Blue keyboard I've ever used. This thing is a real joy to type on and the only real complaint I have is a subjective one: The keycap font is pretty bad. It looks like it's trying to be a sort of futuristic military text catering to the gamer crowd, though the use of blue switches seems kinda silly for gaming as they're really loud on stuff like TS, Vent and Discord even when you don't bottom out like a mong.

The mouse is also a real treat. The sensor "feels" on-par with my logitech g400 but the mouse itself has a more comfortable feel for my large hands, a rubberized type finish, and it comes with adjustable weights and really nice teflon pads that glide very well.

Overall, for $29.99 for the keyboard and $12.99 for the mouse, it's definitely a bargain if you want a decent mechanical keyboard and a mouse with two side buttons by your thumb.

Got some chink shit in today: 2x KZ earbud cases, autism trinket, and a pair of glass screen protectors.

Everything is exceptional. Fidget isn't spectacular but it was $2. Earbud cases are the star here: they're both larger than I expected and significantly nicer than the last one I got. The KZ branding is a nice touch. One will store my ATRs, which are being handed down to my wife, and the other will store ZS3s which are still in the mail.

Its good, I used it for quite some time. It tells your heart rate, sleep patterns, distance traveled, time, date, and battery level I believe. You can configure what it shows you in the app. The watch is good, comfortable, and durable, however the face can scratch when abused a lot so keep that in mind. They're all a little bit shit, if I can give you advice, don't install a custom rom on them. The community support is terrible since there's no drivers or kernel source anywhere and the hardware that goes into them is a lottery of different versions.

That said, the ones I've had get the job done, not super smoothly, but definitely fine. Once you're watching something they work fine.

I'm on le Max 2, running a similar rom (Dev 26s with chink shit stripped out by some Greek guy who maintains the MUI rom for the le Max 2). Sleeps like a champ. And fingerprint sensor is fucked on all ROMs, the driver for it is in the modem image or some shit, and has power management issues where it gets turned off while the phone is in deep sleep

I want a cheap pair of headphones that will last me a long time(for a pair of cheap chink headphones at least), I'm talking detachable cables, as much metal as possible, easily replaceable pads, all that jazz. I go though headphones like they are candy. Sound quality doesn't really matter too much, I've worn cheap headphones all my life, though comfort, since I live in front of my computer would be a fairly big plus.

First buy a fucking soldering iron. If you know where the cable is broken you can just snip and splice to fix headphones. I've saved hundreds of dollars with like $10 of soldering gear.

I do, I've gotten a fuckload of extra time out of headphones by fixing cables and using a fuckoad of silver tape and glue. But there usually comes a day when the cable just gives up, I mess up my repairs, the pads/cups become too loose, the cheap plastic breaks and so on. So I'd like to get a pair that can take all those repairs basically. As much as budget headphones can at least.
