Because it is a keyboard that is meant to be rack mounted. They can jack up the price because the keyboard is meant to fill a particular need and I doubt that there is a particularly large amount of rack mountable keyboards available. Also it's by Cherry, so even though it has the ML switches it still has the brand name driving up the price.

That's accurate pricing sadly. Cherry only makes clears and greens in low volume by special request and that costs a hefty premium.
