I've owned a James Donkey for about 8 months now.

Sensor-wise it's on par with the $10-$15 full-sized mouse selection at Best Buy, which is what I was used to. I replaced a $12 mouse with my James Donkey and I have not noticed even a tiny bit of difference in the sensor.

Build quality-wise it's really well build. The rubber pads on the side don't really do anything for your grip when your hands are sweaty, though.

And was very pleased with the overall build quality and features, however, when I would play music with headphones the external speaker would play too. I was not about to let everyone hear my foot pussy asmr audio at work so I ripped the damn thing apart and after about five minutes and some tape it's the perfect FLAC player (sadly I had no pictures of it open but I guarantee it's easy for anyone interested)

Comparing my old batch Piston 3s against the old Hybrids, I recommend the Piston 3s. The mids aren't fucked which is worth the minor reduction in detail in the highs. And yeah the hybrids also fuck the bass. The piston 3s did die in less than a year, I'm liking the LeTv earbuds much better.

Among the 3, the lamy is utterly disappointing and I know that its just a meme.

I think a fountain pen needs 2 characteristics to be a good pen.

1. A smooth nib. It doesn't have to be wet or feel like im writing on air but the biggest reason anyone wants to go through the hassle of using a fountain pen in this day and age is because of its smoothness. I got sick of shitty BICs so i turned to fountain pens.

The Lamy nib is rough, digs in the paper, scratchy.

2. Build Quality.
Fountain pens are a relic of an era of manufacturing where there was a day into details and overall prices were higher but the quality made up for it.

My Sheaffer 300 give a resounding click everytime i cap it. There is incredible detail from the pen clip hinge to the way it posts. Its hefty, reassuring to hold and comes with a converter and a nice case.

The Lamy is disappointingly light, average plastic, no detail whatso ever.

So when you are left with a pen that does nothing a fountain is supposed to while costing 10 times a decent ball point pen that does its job better in all catagories except design, what are you left with?

A hyped up pen with no substance so uncharacteristic of German products. I think the idea of a German manufactured product is highly appealing to people but sadly, the Lamy Safari stands as an example of why outsourcing is such a compelling option for companies.
