Picked up a pair of ROCK Zircons.

All eartips that came with it were a bit too large, so I had to salvage the ones from my other buds, but boy, these are some surprisingly clear headphones. The cord has that weird semi-braided thing, and is a LOT shorter than I expected (coming from a pair of CX 300 II's which has the cord length of approximately two hours, this may just be bias) and the button takes a while to get used too due to how small it is.

Overall, pretty nice headphones. Thanks to everyone who told me about them.

You should honestly go to your local knife retailer, sharpening place and look what they have.
You can find yourself a nice full tang chef's knife for under $80.
You only need like 3 knives anyway.
Look for one that's made from Carbon steel, it will last a very long time, but requires special care. Needs to be washed right away, and wiped dry or it will rust.


As far as sharpening, that's a decent art form. What tools do you have right now?
Go to any Pier1 Imports, or Marshals, or any of those outlet stores. They sell throwaway knives.

Thought my Chuwi Hi8 Pro had chinked itself, after having left it to go completely flat, it wasn't even lighting up the charging light.

Charged for 16 hours, nada. A USB ammeter I have was reading 0.37A which is pathetic and would take forever to charge it.
Took it apart and measured the voltage across the battery terminals - 0V! No chance surely?
While the cable was plugged in - 2.02V, climbing so slowly it'd take days to get to 3.7.

But I also happen to fly models, and have a specialist LiPo charger and know how they work. The thing with LiPos is this is dangerous as fuck, as if you short the connections you can cause a thermal runaway (read: Note 7 situation but on a much bigger battery) and possibly a house fire. There's a protection circuit on these, but come on, it's Chinese.
So I really gingerly desoldered one terminal, put tape around it, desoldered the other, connected the battery up to my charger with croc clips (and more tape) and gave it some time on a real charger. Despite reading 2.02V in place, it was reading 3.4V on the charger. After getting it to a sensible voltage (4.0 with charging load, it switches to constant voltage at 4.2) I soldered it back and it was charging at 1.5A and booted up fine.

So despite what the internet tells you, measuring 0V across the battery on these doesn't mean it's dead. Pretty sure it means the battery is low enough to kick in the deep discharge protection and cut off the battery completely, and at 0.37A it was just going to take 2, 3, maybe 4 days to drag it back into a state where it'll be considered 'safe' and instruct the tablet's USB port to pull the proper rate.

Was the battery, or the cell itself that was reading 0V? If it was a 'battery' (i.e. cell + circuit board) you probably just activated the undervoltage protection.

Charging super slow is an intentional safety mechanism.

Doing what you did is more dangerous, but I'm not going to exaggerate. Mostly just like you raised your chance of Samsung'ing your battery from 0.0002% to 2%

My safety razor came today. It came with 20 razor blades. Its recommended to throw them out but since this was dorco (what dollar shave club rebrands) instead of some generic chinkshit I tried them out anyway. This was the first time I ever used a non electric shaver and it went very well. Managed not to cut myself and this gave me honestly the best shave Ive ever had.
