I just saw the ad for the LG G5 and wow I'm so excited!
I'm really glad Android phones are finally getting such nice features never seen before in a phone!
I can't wait in 2019 when you guys *invent* edge swiping, consistent design, live thumbnails in multitasking and a system that doesn't lag while doing the most simple of tasks

>tfw the lumia I had didn't have glance
many sads were had
eh, I know you'll just call me a shill or whatever, but the experience I had with lumia 735 was extremely good.
I've used every os up to date when it comes to mobile devices, and I think I've liked windows the most, still.
iOS being a close second (at least jailbroken, vanilla is on par with android)
Pretty much your fault for buying a Lumia instead of a Nokia N9/N950
>N950 with glance
>Galaxy S2 (or any other phone with AMOLED screen) with noled
>Motorola Active Display (when they still used AMOLED screens)
LG is trying to play it like Apple?
That was my first concern
Even samshit phones get burned from ambient display
Lg phones use the same technology Nokia used for LCD screens
I don't know if burn in is possible using said technology
The lg g5 will surely have a 2k screen at least, so burn in would be a major issue with their phones and I don't think lg wants that
Symbian Belle tried o incorporate the Swipe and Squircle UI from Meego Harmattan but that was a terrible implementation, if you want to see how the purest UX feels like you should try a Nokia N9 for one day
It really isn't, I'm not even sure how the guy got the battery up there
Forgot pic related
>still wasting screen real estate on battery and clock
>still needing buttons
>still having lag
>still not having actual multitasking
Please tell me how one does 'true multitasking'.
As far as I am aware you can put multiple windows on the same screen, Samshit had that on their devices for like 3 years.
Besides you do not have enough screen space for more than two (even two) apps at the same time anyway.
And how are you going to know how much battery you have and what time it is?
How do you plan on turning on your phone without a power button? How will you be able to enter recovery? By shaking the phone at a certain angle or something?
If you debloat your phone and get rid of RAM eaters like TouchWiz or Sense then you shouldn't have any lag whatsoever. I remember my Galaxy S3 with CM11 freezing only twice in 6 months.
Please make sense in your requests.
I get the feeling you're not being sincere. Probably another insecure apple cunt that can't help but make threads to justify their sad existence through brand loyalty.
Needing buttons for interaction*, just takes up more screen space or adds bezel
Reveal the battery, clock, and notifications when you wanna check, who needs to keep it shown constantly?
Okay multitasking wasn't the best choice of words, I just think it's neat having the ability to leave video playing on my homescreen
I think there is an Xposed module that hides the notification bar at all times.
And you can play floating videos with Samshit's video player, there's an app called Awesome Video something on Play Store, but I wouldn't touch that with a shitty stick because it limits videos per month and wants referrals for unlimited video.
Keep forgetting pic related
I know the display works differently. In the GS2 case it was true but it wasn't killing the battery or using more than any other random app.
With the Moto X it was using next to nothing thanks to the processor that was also used for the always on thing that can pick up voice commands from you without touching the phone.
Also to avoid burn in the noled app randomly displayed the notifications and after a couple of years of use I had no burn in problem with the Moto X either. i guess the Nokia didn't have that problem.

Well, we can still hope, but now that Jolla seems to be dead, and BB went android, I have a bad feeling about the future mobile landscape.
>8 corez with jiggahurtz of clock
>Giggabytes of RAM
IIRC the moto x gen1 was had an always on feature as well.
also lol at all the windows phone fags crawling out of the woodworks everytime when one of their last reddeeming features is copied.
My watch screen is always on. The screen is in a low power low resolution mode when it's always on. Can't tell a difference batterywise
No idea why you wouldn't want the screen always on if it's possible.
Going from old phones to new the thing I missed most was the always on screen on my old fliphone
