Bump out of curiosity.

All smartphones are Chinese though.

I think he means phones designed and manufactured in China, by the Chinese.
Like doogee and ulefone.
Does anyone know what ROM support is like on Xiaomi phones? Or am I stuck with the default MIUI 7 ROM?
got a cubot x15
unbelievably cheap for its size and quality, still cant believe i used to buy western phones
I have a Redmi Note 2.
It's seems fine so far, phone seems well built, replacement back covers are dirt cheap. It can be picky with charging adapters, charging very slowly (it can be a problem if you live in France, supplied adapter fit nicely in a schuko socket, but the sticking out earth ground on regular French socket will prevent you from using it).
UI is fast enough and pretty, various apps and menu are somewhat coherent. I'm not a huge fan of the default launcher though.
I'm pretty happy with it, especially for the price.

Not really. Even iphones have parts made in the US, Europe, South Korea, Taiwan. I would say most of what the Chinese are adding is very cheap assembly and convenient supply chains.
Also many major smartphone makers are based in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (LG, Samsung, HTC). You could say at most Asia is the place where most phones are made, but most quality phones are made outside China.
Doogee x5 Here
Absolut Garbage this thing

What's so bad about it?
Other than it being a low end 49 dollar smart phone.

I have a Jiayu S3A. Thought it was great when I bought it, then with Lollipop the Bluetooth went to shit, regardless of which ROM (of which there's not even one worth running as a daily driver) I was running, could hardly stay connected to my LG G Watch, then, six months later the headphone socket started to crap out.
Luckily my mum has just renewed her phone contract and got an iPhone 6S+, which means I'm getting her 5S to use for a while whilst I choose which proper Android phone to buy.
>tl;dr, chinkphones, not even once.
I want to get a Fujitsu Docomo F-02D
Anyone have experience with them, or other phones like it?

He's very happy with it.
