Does anyone know of any 240mm radiators that are less than 270mm long?

I miss the good old days.
Sandy Bridge sucked. Everything went down hill from there. I miss my i7-980X. Guts may look better now, but it is all a scam. Only now that there are 8 core Extreme editions is there a reason to upgrade over socket 1366.
I think you guys know a thing or two about computers, so I'm going to ask here.
My CPU cooler (Zalman CNPS10X Extreme) makes short squeaking noises at about 50 BPM when it's at low idle speed, sounds like a very loud clock ticking.
How can I fix it without getting a new fan? Like, lube it up or something?
I want to do something like this one. HALP ME G
Just finished it last summer. How well did I make you cream your pants?

When did you guys become so rich all of a sudden? I frequent guts and I have seen like 1-2 custom watercooled rigs on special occasions.
Might order the new GPU this week. New case should be arriving soon.
>>52634572
For some reason I hate this.
It's very well done and all, there's just something about it.
>>52635024
You're not alone, it looks disgusting to me - the gpu, the weird placement of motherboard in the middle of a case. Throw it away anon.

What a fucking housefire. It really pains me to see shit like this. GPUs throttle themselves the moment you start your computer because there's no way they can get enough cooling air without some pressured air blowing at them.

The cooler I can vouch for but a VS-series PSU? I hope your rig isn't expensive otherwise because that thing will shit the bed.

Not knowing how to turn down fan rpm
I'm pretty happy with the 212. I can overclock my CPU to 4.5 GHz with fair temps and i mostly use my computer for college and some gaming on the side but thanks for the reference. I'll definitely consider that heatsink for any future builds, for myself or anyone.
>>52642227
Pic relevant to post
>>52642723
Probably not the case with new CM fans, but there used to be a big disparity between how loud their fans were at the same rpm as other better manufacturers' fans. Noctua's pressure optimized fans are famous for doing at 800rpm what Corsair's can only do at 1100rpm. However, it is minimal and only weirdos like Sebastian care.
>>52642310
I'd drag my dick through a mile of broken glass just to hear those fans through a walkie-talkie.
dank
Half of these pictures of guts are from builds dudes have done on ocn.net (one of Lowfat's lian li builds, also one of the EK vulture case competition builds) what a fucking pleb, samefagging the thread and claiming someone else's build is yours.
>>52642982

OCN uses g too. Probably not all actual self guts posts, but the one I posted is legit and was on OCN.
>>52634306
It's one guy posting pics off of google. OP, one other water cooled build before, and one after your post do not make me immediately suspicious as to it's origin.
you can only post in this thread ---if--- your GPU doesnt sag

I don't think these people are claiming to own those awesome guts. They're either looking for that result or as an example. The Lian li orange thing is just the image with no text.
>>52644198
I don't really care if they're claiming to own them or not. If I wanted to see pictures pulled from google, I'd be on google. I'm on /g/ because I want to see what people have built themselves.

from another era, but great
>>52640995
I guess I don't have much room to talk, but I'm guessing this is your first PC since you went for the red and black theme, complete with all Corsair fans. It would be fine if they were good fans, but they're not. They're too loud for the amount of air they push. BeQuiet and Fractal offer better fans for the price.
If I could do my build over again, I would have gotten the NH-D15 instead of the H100i, maybe some cheaper memory in less capacity as well. GPU has been pretty good. The motherboard is pretty nice but I probably would have been just as happy with a workstation grade motherboard or just a $100 Z-87.
I don't regret the Noctua fans, even if they're the biggest meme in my PC. I do regret putting the Noctua badge on my pump.
Don't get meme'd, lads.

>>52630741
As an X58 owner in part, I can certainly say you have a good point-- but the 1366 chips also had a lot of crap wrong with them on the silicon. have you ever looked at the errata for the Xeon 5600 series?
>>52643942
>>52643881
there's solutions to sag in cases that don't look all too bad-- the most prevalent I've seen people do, aside from zipties to somewhere up top (which is stupid because zipties stretch with age under that sort of stress) is to use an adjustable rod sort of thing to prop it up in the one corner. I'm thinking about that if I keep the 6970 in my box here for the long haul, because there's no other easy way to keep the card from sagging slightly in the little amount of space I have. there is less than a centimeter or so between the card's end and the drive cage in my case here. there's a reason why the only 2.5" drive in an adapter lives there by it-- the drive is heatsinked to the adapter (so it doesn't get above ambient really ever), and because it mounts deeper inside the cage instead of the very end like everything else, so it just fits.
just can't fix the slight sag for the time being.
>>52645250
I made the right choice in going workstation-grade for my other build. what I made the mistake in was thinking a couple of dual-core Opterons from 2006 were going to last me until 2020.
I was wrong. oh, was I wrong.

Hey guys, how do you clean your guts? Disassemble it to pices and clean it with antistatic brush and cloth? Or just use vacuum cleaner? Is using a vacuum is anywhere near static-safe?
>>52651733
NEVER USE A VACUUM
I use a leafblower like based Carey Holzman
Sometimes i'll use my air compressor
>>52651733
every time i vacuumed the PC i fucked up a ram stick.

How long did it take you to figure out the correlation between vacuuming and ram stick fuck ups cause it seems like you had to have fucked up a few before you figured out.
