OP here; they aren't portable headphones, I was looking up reviews for high end studio headphones.

You literally have to train yourself to hear the difference between FLAC and MP3 or $150 headphones and $500 headphones. And even then the difference is miniscule. Using headphones, especially Bluetooth ones, with your phone is perfectly acceptable and probably the most common use-case. So, yeah, no problem with that.

And to get audiophiles REALLY angry: your 'high-end' headphones and lossless codecs do the EXACT same thing for you that a high-end Mac does for Apple customers. I'm not saying you're stupid to buy that shit, I'm just saying don't expect people to understand or demand to be taken seriously.

There is zero, absolutely zero audible difference between FLAC and mp3 320kbps, v0, and most opus.
You can't train you ears, more expensive equipment doesnt suddenly make a difference between them, a 500 dollar DAC will sound no different than a 20 dollar DAC, and a cheap amp should sound the same as an expensive one.
There however would be a big difference between Bluetooth and a pair you plug in because of bluetooths shitty limitations.
