Old one is close its limit.
with a lighter like that babe, hell yes <3
I will always have a fetish for wood desks though. Coming out dank, should have changed the legs while you were at it so you would have more space.
re pot that plant man its crooked liek your dick.
my desk was cheap ply wood I used prestain on.
Man people like you need people like me to fix everything. But ive grown up around custom wood and painting shit so I guess Im in a better position. Was first time using it though.
>Hes looking at my dank meme.
Should get a comfy blanket for the chair then.
An edition where I can post my station with confidence!
Currently measuring the back of my desk so I can get a wood support blovk cut, allowing me to mount this thing at it's proper height. Then I'll be able to have the monitors a bit higher, and place the speakers upright properly.
I hate waiting for shit like this, why can't things just work right the first time. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Couldn't you just put them together?
smoking is bad!
for reference this is the issue I'm dealing with.
I did: https://github.com/ppwwyyxx/panorama
it's many times faster then photoshop or lightroom panaroma future. But I liked the AESTHETICS of single images more
dude, way ahead of you.
Only posted in the other one an hour ago!
Love dat desk
Never was a fan of the sawhorse style desks or white but looks comfy and spacious
I'm getting color fatigue
What do you even put on those drives?
8th graders dream
Screens are waaaaaaaaaay too close to your face
Love this, don't put such heavy filters on your pictures
It's not that bad just keep it clean
Lights make the speakers look like angler fish
>It's not that bad just keep it clean
You're too nice but thanks. But the everyday struggle makes it look like it does.
Yours is a 9/10. The furniture is a bit outdadet, but I like the coffeemaker and the vintage lamp.
not fond of the furries, but I do like the clean setup. I wish I had room for a 3rd monitor
every one here dumpsters on it
hardly vintage, if you consider 5ish years old from a furniture set vintage then maybe
very, its dorm furniture, but at least its sturdy too bad it kinda looks like shit
ty for the kind comments however
So you had nothing other but a joke about my station
Do the bluetooth hack for your keyboard!
Gonna be nice when it's done

>(3.4 MB, 10000x4439)
At what cost, Anon?
How's the keyboard wrist rest?
ur mum is wack
Personally don't like the large black mat under the monitor/km but it's nice overall.
> >>52621118 (You)
> How's the keyboard wrist rest?
It's nice, really great quality, but I wouldn't buy it again. It's not worth that much in my opinion.
I got it a lot cheaper though, so it's okay.
I think when I get the new desk I'm either going to get the version that is half the depth OR have no mat at all.
But thank you!
So all in all you'd recommend a wrist rest? Eyeing a wooden one on Amazon at the moment
Oh look it's this... again
>Do the bluetooth hack for your keyboard!
Not him, but you can't just "do the bluetooth hack" for your keyboard. You'll just get an ugly box with a cable leading to it instead of just having a cable.
>So all in all you'd recommend a wrist rest? Eyeing a wooden one on Amazon at the moment
Oh I thought you meant that specific wrist rest. That's the official PFU Happy Hacking Keyboard leather wrist rest.
Personally I often don't even use the wrist rest, but sometimes it's nice. I guess you have to try it yourself and see if you like it.
I meant this one where you essentially put the ugly box into the keyboard casing
Sorry I was pretty vague but no I did just mean a wrist rest in general.
It's nice to see some sweet real wood desks on /g/.
I sure wish I had space for a workbench like that. I also wish I had the brainpower to do something productive like electronics work.
Now too late, came the dawning realization that I had unwittingly damned myself
to a hell from which there was no escape.
I am right now experiencing the very day in which 90% of adults will realize,
'I am not as clever as I thought I was'.
but it's okay, because I find myself relieved at the prospect of
not feeling obliged to use something I do not possess.
This is the first and last page of my memoirs
which I had intended to write,
before I realized that I was not as interesting as I thought I was either.
Why thank you!
>take a photo in the dark badman
I've made a vow not to take a new bst photo until I get my new desk.
We have roofers around to do a load of work and they start work when I should be getting to sleep and finish work when I should be waking up but I can't sleep because they are loud as fuck AND they're made some of the plaster on my ceiling come off so yeah.
AAAAAAAND my keycaps/switch/lightbulb didn't arrive today :(
fucking pussy respect lols .....
roofinng is easy, like earth girls
I know how to roof, if you need help yo.
to be fair gaming can help influence productive hobbies
like fan art and sculpting
you're not building or creating anything, you don't learn anything of value, you don't grow as a person or become more interesting in any way. you're just playing through something someone else has created. it's one step removed from watching tv, listening to music or reading a novel. likewise all low tier as hobbies go. that good enough for you?
Lasonic SA-5A...I suspect that they're boom box speakers, but I can't find any information about them online. They sound great.
>making yourself happy isn't productive
have a pic of my plush snek
I'm sorry I didn't realize I was talking to some self flagellant wage slave that can't fathom any sort of hedonism at all. I'm really sorry for you though, I wonder what created this mindset.
im not saying having an unproductive hobby is a bad thing, being a film buff isnt productive but its still fun to do, entertainment has its own value
also thanks for snek :3
>I'm sorry I didn't realize I was talking to some self flagellant wage slave that can't fathom any sort of hedonism at all. I'm really sorry for you though, I wonder what created this mindset.
If gaming is someone's sole 'hobby' then I think I made a valid point. pic related >>52618674. Nothing against a little video games on the side.
Having a sole hobby is the issue not gaming.
if someone only reads/watches movies/ paints things.
they'll end up living an full-filling life, ( if we're not cherry picking) same goes for people that only work.
rearranged my MBPr + eGPU setup, looks a lot better now that I can hide things and have the computer + monitor side by side
Looks nice. I will have to upgrade my crappy Gateway monitor(mines posted right above you). What mouse is that?
I love those keyboards. I will have to give up My 17" XPS soon, hopefully towards a MBP.
where do i get the parts to make it dank Bluetooth and thank man been enjoying it so far.
pok3r white case and white back light.
wood is the only way to desk for me.
its okay man you chose to be boring.
I remember him. He was pretty cool with dank legs.
404 summer not found editon. Fucking drizzle again. Also late as always
bit messy and cluttered for my liking but has a certain comfyness about it
That is a nice plant, looks lot like my ficus
if your gonna have messy cables, hide them behind a panel. Mine are always in a mess because Im forever yanking them out for lans. still a pretty good setup
I like the colour scheme here.
Plants make for best stations, plant/plant
Lives with parents/10
this is acceptable. Case is a tad ricer in comparison to the rest.
Nice audio gear, mad cramped
There is little room for activities
>razer is good
>alienware is good
Lay of the rice son it will make you fat
This... I like this. Dem clean lines
Where you get that NES controller? Also line set up. Needs a plant
K65, mah nigga

Dorm/dorm Been there bro
Animu/animu, nice collection there actually. +10 for GITS
Nice compact station, liking the actually work bench, I just slide my kb and mouse under the monitors when I need the space
Another cozy as fuck one! choice.
Dem speakers thou. All running out of the lappy?
I like white and black
but not white and black girls
heres mine, not perfect but not too bad. Im kinda sick of having a glass desk.
why do you have save buttons on your wall
main desktop/ps4/thinkcentre inside desk. i'd also like to build a nas/media server out of the scrap parts you can see and while 24 ports is overkill i got it for cheap and it always gives room for expansion
its ok to be a baguette
my bf is a faguette
>he aint fond of the furries
thanks tho anon
your eyesight is fucked up man you should get some of those hipster glasses
and take your whole battlestation to starbucks
but most traps are mentally unstable and shit
also that's just a cute boy wearing a skirt
trap implies other shit usually
and as a cute skirtboy i hate people calling me a trap
ricer case is the best case man
at least my leds are white
yea that's how its supposed to be
but literally 99% of people think trap means tranny
people are fucking retarded and confused. go to any trap thread and they will complain if the stuff you post doesn't have tits
its a clusterfuck so i just prefer to stay away from it and just be a faggot what wears the wrong kinda underwear
Any #KonMari fags ITT? I'm trying to apply decluttering/minimalism to my files/surroundings.
why does nobody here do pic related?
I guess it's horrible for gaming but I think its perfect for anybody doing serious work.
I don't understand how some of you people blow money on one thing and settle for complete shit in places that are as if not more important
People value different things, anon.
For example, this sounds like a student who surfs the web a lot, probably does a lot of writing/coding, and doesn't really care about gaming or sound quality.
I can spot three different memes just buy the glancing at this picture. ThinkPads are the Fedora of laptops, does anime figurines are virginity solidifier, those god damn headphones.... Christ
Haven't posted in this in a while.
Yes it is. The case I have is kind of "special" so it requires a lower profile fan. I figured it might as well be a big one.
I like it' ill have to give it a shot on one of my next builds. I have literally had 3 of the bigger ones from acquaintances who have built pc's and had to rma their mobos because they cracked because it was so damn heavy. That one looks a little more utilitarian
I will say. Only get it if you need it. It's a real pain to set up and I'm not kidding when I say that. You have to use a long screwdriver to go through the heat sync and fans all while holding it balanced in place and applying pressure to the screws that hold it in place.
It took me at least three tries to get it set.
> hows that logitech(?) wireless ball mouse?
I Like it, took some time getting used to. It's the best mouse I've tried yet when it comes to
ergonomics. Though my accuracy is not great yet.
It's a M570.
hhahah yeah I'm familiar with that hassle. Right now my rings are running
corsair H110i GT
coolermaster 212 evo
and two old zalmans
I fucking hate the h110i because if you mount the fans horizontally they make a grinding noise/corsair wont ship me new ones, and I'm not about to run my rig without the fans/ram the whole kit. After my old open loop finally ate it and jizzed everywhere I'm left with changing cases/cooling.
I'd take another picture, but nothing much has changed and I don't feel like taking another
just got a few of these bad boys for free, sip trunked through the cloud to a local number and bluetoothed to my phone. extremely great addition to my battlestation.
does /g/ have any special telephony?
yep. happy white fella day, m8
On ebay I'm seeing them for around $150-$300 AUD, but any SIP hardware phone will work.
The interface is a little unintuitive at first (too used to android full gui by now) but once you learn it it's pretty easy. Took me fucking hours to figure out how to get it all configured but here's your free guide.
- A router you can open ports on
- A SIP hardware phone
- Somewhere to host some XML files on the net (a free heroku will do. I'm hosting mine as media files on a wordpress blog)
Connect the phone to your WiFi or via internet, give it a static address and forward port 5060 to it (pretty sure it's UDP but I just opened both), you'll need this later for when your SIP provider routes calls to you.
Find a telephony provider that supports SIP registration. After searching for a bit I got mine from a company called Plivo (I wanted to use Twilio but although they have SIP trunking they don't have SIP registration, that is, your phone cant connect to them to get a SIP address, only receive calls from them once it has one).
Buy a number from them and assign it to the demo "Direct Dial" application. This will let you call out when you dial numbers. The demo just contacts their heroku app which returns an XML file that just has a <Route> command in it.
Create an endpoint in their dashboard, assign it to your new phone number. Assign it to the same Direct Dial application, but we will be changing this later. Once you make it you'll see your new SIP URI listed below it, looks likesip:email@example.com
Copy that SIP URI and make a new XML file on your computer, enter into it something like<Response>
<Speak language="en-GB" voice="WOMAN">Your call is being connected</Speak>
<Speak language="en-GB" voice="WOMAN">Your call has now ended. Goodbye.</Speak>
The above code will be used when someone dials your new phone number. This code will have a voice speak "Your call is being connected", forward their call to you, and when you hang up the voice will say "Your call has now ended. Goodbye"
I don't use this on my number obviously but it's an example to show you that you can use their API to do some cool fucking shit.
Upload this xml file somewhere you can access publicly over the net.
Create a new application on their site called "Dial in", and point the "Answer URL" to your XML file. Update it and set your previously created endpoint to use the dial in app now.
Cool, so now the cloud is all configured. On your endpoint copy your username.
Open your phones control panel at http://the.phones.ip.address, click on "Admin dashboard" in the top right, and select "Ext 1". You'll note you have 5 Exts, you can set up your phone to be able to dial from and receive from up to five different phone numbers (I have another one in america for business reasons).
Under "Subscriber information" enter:
Display name: Your actual plivo username
User ID: the username you got from the endpoint page
Password: You set this when creating an endpoint, if not it's just your plivo account password
Auth ID: The same username you got from the endpoint page
Save it, congrats your phone is now wired to send and receive calls through VoIP. It's dirt fucking cheap, I'm cancelling my landline, this is literally a dollar or two a month.
Once you pair your phone you can send and receive calls with that too. It's all very cool. Hope this helps anon.
Just pulled the trigger on this one - did I do well?
Thats a pretty good build, it'll perform well and you'll be able to upgrade it very easily when you want to (good call on the one stick for RAM). The only you're missing is the GPU, but this will compliment it great when you get one.
how do you live with your monitors so low
how do you live with such little arm room with your mouse
how do you live with that neck pain
how do you live with that aspect ratio
how do you live with having your eyes so over stimulated
how do you live with nothing to rest your elbows on
is that a rack server? how do you live with that noise
how do you live with your parents shame
how do you even live
I might post my station too ofte, but what the hell
yea i almost forgot to mention that
what a fucking pleb
he goes on facebook, owns beats, uses rainmeter, has crappy looking anime figures, a mini katana, and he's not even gay?
what a fucking pleb
btw what's a rainbow shock?
your keyboard looks trashy too
i just cant stand the shitty keycap font or the cheap looking case and most rice looking leds i think ive seen on a keyboard
its the kinda shit you get when you buy a mechanical for 30 bux on ebay or something
I'm looking at IKEA Dioder for some biaslightning behind monitors but I'm a bit put off by the separate powerbrick and cable. Antec has LEDs that can run off the monitor's USB but they're only white and not RGB.
Is running the extra power cable to and outlet and big deal? I would really like the configurability that Dioder have.
this was my battlestation for a few YEARS when i was younger
>tfw hundreds of hours in red alert2
>tfw shitty 333mhz compaq laptop
>that old ass youtube screenshot
had the power for RA2 but not Unreal Tournament, had to play that on my dads rig.
what monitor stands/clamps would you recommend for someone in the UK? Needs to be reasonably extendable and support up to 27". Don't mind buying 2 instead of a joint one. if that gives me more flexibility.
doesn't look like it desu, it'll be fine right ? right ?
If its still soft to the touch and you can fuck it up just redo it with quick dry primer. Not your fault and not worth the sadness of having it all set up again for it only to peel off.
Thanks, it come in handy, plus i got a great price on it :D
yes it is, well the 4u poweredges when running normally don't make a TON of noise, plus it doesn't really bother me, most of the time i have headphones or the TV on i guess.
I have two sets of dioders. I'm running 5 strips (normally it's 4 per set) from one power cable. Two behind monitors, one under my desk and two under a lack shelf that I have my monitors standing on. Rest are behind my TV.
I'd say it's worth it, they're great and really versatile, since you can arrange them how you want, switch colours easily and they're easy to attach.
USB powered led's might be a good choice if you only want them behind your monitor and don't want that many led strips
This anon just gave me a sweet idea for a room layout...
Rear to front wall:
Bed against one wall, then the couch with the back against the bed, then coffee table, then battlestation / TV...
I've got the NES controller from a friend. But it's from RetroLink you can get them from ebay search for "usb retrolink nes controller" buy the boxed version for about $10.
Whatever you do don't buy the cheaper ones (the ones not labeled RetroLink) and costs about 4$ they're utter shit.
