I boot Windows 10 on my Mac sometimes to play games. It's a big improvement over Windows 7 and especially 8, but it's still a buggy awful piece of shit compared to OSX.

Just for starters, running in hidpi mode means a lot of programs are horribly blurry (including a lot of system dialogs!), and some UI elements are plain broken. There's also zero consistency across the UI: how many fucking UI toolkits does just Microsoft themselves use?? There also seem to be two totally separate - in terms of interface - OS preference systems, each covering various things with no rhyme or reason. Even Linux is more consistent and these days.

But at least they removed the tablet interface AIDS that was Windows 8. I really can't understand why people put up with this shit, except to play muh games (that could as easily be released on a competently engineered and designed platform like OSX).

I use Windows for art (Surface Book), Linux for coding, and Mac for work on the go. Windows is decidedly more unstable than the other two, but that may be a consequence of what I do with it. (Pulling it away from its GPU several times a day while it's running.)

Definitely the most stable is Linux. Mac is pretty stable, except when it updates.

Windows is the least user friendly (or developer friendly), with it's severe lack of Unix terminals and horrible UI.

Mac is the most frustrating. I need a god damn third party app to maximize a fucking window. The file manager is complete shit. It constantly fights with me about file permission of system files.

Linux is the least fun. No art program that doesn't suck enormous donkey balls. It has Steam games though, which is nice.

I do, and not a day goes by where I wish I was back using my Fedora. It is better than Win7, I skipped 8, but it is just not there when it comes to comfy. Both KDE and GNOME beat the shit out of Windows 10 these days. I can't get my workflow right and I need to resort to Cygwin and Github shell for several tasks. Powershell is rather dank, I admit that, but it doesn't have the vast amount of tools bash has readily available. Too bad I need Win10 for dev platform currently.

Last straw was that KOTOR2 just doesn't work here while it worked on WINE perfectly.

Finally there is actually the thing with applications. For PDF reading both Okular and Evince smack the shit out of anything on Windows, for music Rhythmbox beats foobar2000, for mail either Evolution or Kontact pls.

I can't use my soundcard with it. It's an old Audigy ZS 2 Platinum.
When I installed it, windows wouldn't accept permission changes for sharing files.
My firewall doesn't work with it. It's an older version that allows real full control.

I use it. It could be better, but I like it more than Windows 7.

With a single powershell command you can remove all bundled apps. And Classic Shell is a better replacement for the new Start Menu, and has even more features than the Windows 7 Start Menu.

I like how the taskbar looks. It's flat, and you can barely see if an app is open or not, which pleases my eyes. The icons are smaller so it looks better and there is no 3rd party theme that can do this.

Besides that. Windows 10 is pretty stable and I have the same performance in my games. There are a couple of annoying settings like Telemetry and Windows Update, but you only have to change them once.

To be totally honest, it's not stable enough for my taste, it's still in dev (unlike what microshaft wants you to think). It updates and reboots without telling you, it still uses live-tiles, app store is shit, weird ass UI (in my opinion), too much like Win 8 (which was the system that drove me from windows, even with 8.1), and awful, awful driver support.
