Except that actually worked.
IIRC the guy wrote a shitty hacked together driver to get USB1.1, it's all just for shits, the intermediary plugs are all passive adapters just passing along the USB pins to the last (cream/white) db25 dongle which was custom wired to go to the right pins for his parallel port driver.
The whole thing was an exercise in 'why the fuck not'
>Except that actually worked.
Also of note is that a PC parallel port has a PS/2 mode.
If it was not the banana I may had chuckled.
Now put maybe MLP and have the guy wear a fedora.
And I may had laughed.
However it had to be that stupid banana that just makes me rage.
So those USB to PS/2 mice adapters could validly accept a thumb drive?
> things break if you don't use them the intended way
Great fucking surprise anon. Next time try blocking the air vent of your pressure cooker. I'm sure you'll be surprised at the result..
>put blindfold on audiophile
>tell them you will put on two different headsets and play the same song
>one uses their own audio setup, the other uses a regular one
>they have to guess which one is which
>only they are both actually the same
has this been done yet?
apart from the informality and shit-tier design,
Who the fuck has an 8 page CV? For ANY job? Nobody's going to fucking hire you, into the trash it goes. Plus it's all text, in paragraph form. If you hire this person, you'll spend 15 minutes reading their emails until you find the information you need.
I hope they didn't get a job. I wouldn't hire them.
All joking aside, I feel that some audiophiles actually can "hear better" and that they will notice the difference. I know that a lot of audiophile shit is absolute snake oil and placebo but I'm sure some of it is warranted. I also truly believe that once you notice how good something can sound, you can't help but pay attention to how shit everything else sounds.
Personally, I think my oem car stereo and cassette adapter, turtle beach x12s, and memorex (eb310?) sound great but I know that they are all relatively low quality and if I upgrade, I'll have to upgrade everything to keep consistent. This same thing happened with my video horde. I used to download "SD" then I moved to "HD" and now I'm in the process of moving everything to 1080p and I know soon I'll be doing 4k.
>audiophiles actually can "hear better"
Not without their pebbles they can't.
The "audiophiles" argument is not about having actually good hardware and high quality media, it's about not paying 10 times the price of said good hardware because "it has soul" or whatever other "blocking water vain radiation" bullshit.
You're misquoting me. I used the word "some" because I'm confident that there exists better quality hardware able to produce a "better" sounding tone and people that can hear the difference between better hardware and shitty hardware. I used to do professional audio work and I could hear the difference between poorly compressed mp3s, well compressed mp3s, and actual audio cds but only with with the super expensive audio equipment and not with my piece of shit laptop or mp3 player.
Please don't assume that I mean magical cable pebbles or cable risers or some shit.
I think that you're not getting the point of what I'm saying. I'm talking about above average sound quality.
Also, you're confusing dumb-ass audio extremists with audiophiles.
a hi-fi enthusiast.
> i learnt a lot watercooling a pi
What did you learn?
listened to the Orpheus at CES.
i would laugh at someone buying them, but to be honest, its like a car company making a race car. its not about people buying them, its about them proving they are on top of the market.
To bored to look these up. What's a rice thread? Is that the leddit rice? What's SICP? Answer first and with dubs and I'll write whatever crap you want on the back of my hands for today.
>this person probably has a job and you dont
they did it, all songs are different 128kps compressions
Who else remembers when this was sticked?
I actually do pic related with my drinks.
>mfw I scored 4/6 just picking random answers and not even playing those files
This, I have a coworker who is unable to relay important information in 2 or less sentences. Even if you cut him off and say
>make it short
he starts over again and probably adds another backgroundstory
it's so annoying.
this is why women don't get hired
>first paragraph is in all caps, starts with please dont throw away
>her skill sums up to deviant art manga and PS use
>hobbies include posting on forums and "being Japanese"
>long term goals to get name on the top of an arcade cabinet
>fucking literally 4 pages of fluff and "about me"
>lists 2 jobs
>one isn't fucking field related
My CV finally grew to two pages, after working at 5 companies.
jesus fucking christ
i wouldn't even consider her enough to look at her deviantart link
>I once made the obligatory "up syndrome" joke to my classmates just before 7th grade science class.
>One of them thinks I'm serious and asks the teacher just as class begins
>Teacher gets furious and gives him a Saturday morning detention.
He was just an idiot, asking an honest question. I swear
fix the image anon
>you will never start wandows nigger madly
>not buying SNSV
Had to do a double take to get it, being old enough to have a landline longer than a cell.
Then again it can have double implicatins too, seeing as that there background is CP is canuckistan.
how retarded the OP of that thread was?
why use groove, a shitty app no one needs, when you still have wmp preinstalled on all devices?
besides the fact that most of /g/ uses custom players anyways
He listens to acid-jazz after paying 2800$ for a pair of headphones that mangle both high and low notes.
The pains is a much from the sound as knowing he paid to be tortured so.
Car companies build race cars and participate in competitions because they can get great advertising for their cheaper road cars by proving that "Since our car is fastest in x class on the track, it has a motorsports pedigree and is surely the greatest car on the road".
Development costs are almost nullified with advertising alone. Think Ferrari for example.
He could have been looking not to make a bunch of sound typing while people are sleeping, but what would you know with your being desensitized via cherry MX clack clack bullshit.
I'm not sure why you think police brutality pushing a respected software engineer to suicide is funny.
Or perhaps you were not aware that this really took place?
I will take his version of events over the police version any day of the week. Sounds like a major injustice, and if you think it's funny then I'm sorry for you pathetic excuse for a moral compass.
Technically his suicide could be construed as an act of martyrdom. Whether it was effective or not is a matter of opinion and in no way makes this turn of events funny.
Rather, it is sad if you consider his life was wasted because of a trivial (from other peoples' point of view) anecdote that shouldn't have caused more trouble than a heated argument and a short stay at the police station,
and it abhorrent if you consider the possibility of police corruption that contributed to his death and probably will contribute to covering up the truth of the events that took place.
Would you still think it were funny if this had happened to your Lord and Saviour Richard Stallman?
He is clearly an autistic person with precisely the kind of personality that could lead to a matter like this getting out of hand and resulting in death.
I know. An heroing was a major fuck up. And from our perspective it seems so absurd and disproportional. But I read the collection of tweets when it happened and I have a strong suspicion that a real injustice was committed against him that the police have said nothing (and probably will never say anything) about what really happened.
Though back then virtually all touchscreen phones used a resistive screens that required a stylus and were very inaccurate. The iPhone came to the market with a capacitive screen and I remember what a giant transformation it was. I had a high end windows mobile phone, the HTC TyTN and my friend got an iPhone. The HTC felt prehistoric compared to it.
The new pen works as a auxiliary tool instead of something essential to use the device. You can still operate an iPhone, iPad or whatever apple shit with your fingers but if you want to draw something naturally you need a pen. Now that we have high resolution capacitive screens you can actually use a pen to create something nice.
I'm by no means an apple fan, I hate the company and all the faggy shit they do, but that picture just screams ignorance.
