AMD PUTS INTEL ON SUICIDE WATCH
>>
>>52464479

the video is from last week, fuck off.
>>
>>52464479
>bad teeth

holy shit, even AMD businessmen are unoptimized
>>
Should anyone really care that a single benchmark is flawed?
>>
>>52464502
Lol.
>>
>>52464660
>mine is fast
>mine is way faster look at this
>but its fake
>ITS ONE BENCHMARK JEEZ.
>>
Intelfags don't need to go on suicide watch. We can afford quality mental health and the prescriptions that come with it.
>>
>>52464479

how do I advertise AMD on my website? Can i just mail them and ask for permission to use their logo in a banner with a link to their website? I don't want money for that, just do it for free

the reason for this is because Intel's built-in hardware backdoor into their processors (intel anti theft technology)
>>
>>52464986
You just plug the banner right next to your kickstarter campaign that you need to fund your shitty AMD server because you are too poor to buy Intel
>>
>>52464986
amd has that too

is there no processor maker that doesn't have hardware backdoors?

this guy is shilling for amd
they literally just said

why would I want that when I have a GPU

Don't get me wrong, I was buying amd from my first Duron 800 to the A64. But they just haven't been able to put a fight since the core2 architecture.

amd has to make a 5 minute movie to combat cpu shills
>>
>>52466041
>>52465894

oh, i didn't realize you could zoom in.,

So it was broadwell vs what AMD processor?
>>
>>52464479
>we are here in our amd labs to collect facts and data to determine whether or not this is truth or myth
>sysmark is excessively benchmarking the cpu
>pcmark benchmarks the gpu/video components as well
>a set of custom scripts developed within amd
Basically what they're saying is that in most "real world applications" it isn't the CPU that is the bottleneck, but more likely the hard drive.
Running tasks in Office isn't likely to fully load the CPU, it'll just use it in bursts and it won't even make full use of all of its cores in all of the tasks.

So what it comes down to is that they proved that in "real world" light computing examples there is negligible difference between the two platforms, but what they didn't prove was that the AMD CPU was not 50% less powerful than the Intel.
>>
>>52464479
tl;dr: AMD has better integrated GPU but intel has better CPU performance
>>
>>52464479

>Creating a strawman 101

Why didn't AMDfags get into professions of teaching people how to argue horribly?
>>
>>52466887
That's probably largely it really.

They basically took a more favorable benchmark and then concocted a test that would reflect the results of the benchmark in order to "prove" that it is more accurate.

LOL my sides are in orbit
>>
>>52467760
Doesn't the FX 8800p get fucked by its tdp? Seems like a lot of people online are having problems with it throttling because of the 15w tdp companies like HP use
>>
OUR CPUS AREN'T COMPLETELY SHIT

THEY'RE ONLY LITTLE BIT SHIT

GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. OK?
>>
jesus fucking christ did they do this in one take? the guy is clearly reading off of a Teleprompter
>>
>>52468309
These are people who clearly don't make videos often.

Everyone is like this to begin with. It takes practice to get used to talking to a camera.
>>
>>52465185
Try OpenPOWER. Be prepared to pay a few thousand minimum though, because servers.
>>
I buy Intel because I support Israel.
>>

>Everyone is like this to begin with. It takes practice to get used to talking to a camera.

so have him practice for fuck sake they are a large company not some ma and pa they should have more self respect
>>
>>52468647
You expect them to put more effort into training their presenters for this video than they put into "debunking" sysmark?
>>
>>52465894
WE FOUND THE HAND
>>

did anyone notice that the guy in the video is blinking in morse code?
what does he say?
>>

>>
>>52468677
lol
>>
>>52464479
Reminder: Lisa Su fired the head of marketing, and is personally behind all of their latest advertising and marketing initiatives. The lady is absolutely brutal and doesn't fuck around. AMD is going to put out more and more videos like this.
>>
>>52464479
>>52466887
I was about to complain about them whining about a benchmark that gave more weight to single-threaded performance putting the Intel CPU higher. In this case though, they picked a really low-end mobile i5, that is apparently weaker across the board than the AMD one. They then still managed to find the Intel one beat them out in all three benchmarks.

i5-5200U: 1442

I'm using a 2600K still, and I want Zen to be good so that it'll push Intel to release something that's not 5% IPC or 5% TDP.
>>
>>52470141
>passmark

Just stop it
>>
>>52470229
Whats wrong with it?
Also what alternative is out there?
>>
>>52470229
The multithreaded benchmark has shortcomings when comparing Intel and AMD (it tends to overrepresent HT), but the single-threaded benchmark is completely fine.
>>
>>52470141
>literally the point
>>
>>52470282
Whats wrong with it? Everything. You might as well ask whats wrong with Geekbench composite scores. This shouldn't need to be explained on this board after this long.

Use Handbrake, Fritz, DIEP, POV-Ray, 7zip, x264 encoding benches, c-ray, AIDA64, and SiSoft Sandra

>>52470307
No. Stop it.
>>
Intel CPU's are worth the money not just for that extra performance but also power saving.

AMD's run hot and with high power consumption for what you're getting. The last AMD chip I bought was FX6350 when it came out and it is the biggest mistake I made in past years.
>>
passmark almost equailt irl absolutly shitty
so i had c2d ee7200 (1658) and shitty MOBILE i3-4005U 2461)

i3 running mint (older_ debian
On c2d i could easily open os x, mini linux and WINDOS, without cpu shitting itself
On i3, it craps with linux and os x / windows and is incapable of procesing 3 vms.
>>
>>52470440
Kabini > Everything Intel
in terms of power efficiency
>>
>>52470498
Thats not how you spell Beema, and you're still wrong.
>>
>>52470498
>Kabini
That's another thing Intel do better, not using shitty poo in loo type names.
Kabini is quite literally a river in India that the "people" there shit in.
>>
http://vrworld.com/2011/06/24/amd-insiders-speak-out-bapco-exit-is-an-excuse-for-poor-bulldozer-performance/

AMD can't compete, tries to discredit benchmarks they don't like

Zen is Bulldozer 2.0 all over again
>>
>>52470467
>wondering why a mobile CPU that has worse singlethreaded performance than a c2d is worse at running multiple VMs

Also I literally said that passmark overrepresents hyperthreading (i7, i3, mobile cpus) in their multithreaded scores, so thanks for proving my point.
>>
>>52470592
this i am proving your point and bumbping the thread.
We need some good of all opensource db of all cpus with diffrent benchmarks
>>
>AMD makes their own scripts to test because that bench is corrupt
>they still manage to lose by 7%

You can't make this stuff up

Why the fuck did AMD put this out? They should have kept quiet or rigged the tests this is an absolute embarrassment.
