Search results are utter shit. Tried it for a week, ended up using the botnet half the time anyway, so just switched back.

Are you even familiar with where the the search result come from?
https://duck.co/help/results/sources
It's just between your ears, but if you really want to have Google search results, just use StartPage https://startpage.com/uk/aboutstartpage/?&hmb=1

>Botnet
It's not a botnet. A botnet is a client/server model with malicious intent. Clients get infected, typically without consent of the owner or him being aware thereof, which are called zombies and in turn infected other machines while awaiting commands from the command & control server. This is fundamentally different from you visiting a certain website, because *you* visit the website, and not something else you're infected by.

Saying X is botnet is just another meme you fell for here.

Because I can't take anything named after ducks seriously.
Ducks are even worse than gnus.
>>
>>52434597
You don't give me the porn I'm looking for. The botnet understands my needs and fetishes.

4chan has a bad habit of twisting facts to present (non)arguments i.e. 4chan has a habit of lying.
>>
>>52435087
So you're calling me a liar then?

>shilling jews
>>
>>52435156
You're a Jew.
>>
>>52435134
If you called DuckDuckGo a botnet, then I am calling you a liar. If you are interested in correcting a liar's usage of the term "botnet", then my point is that it's best to ignore their usage of the lie unless you know they are interested in proper debate.
>>
>>52434663
I wonder what you search for because I find everything I need with it. Moatly for me its programming relatwd atufd though, but wonderously it finds stuff for me even in my non-English mother tongue.

>If you called DuckDuckGo a botnet, then I am calling you a liar.
I wasn't, I was defending why DuckDuckGo and the like aren't.
>If you are interested in correcting a liar's usage of the term "botnet", then my point is that it's best to ignore their usage of the lie unless you know they are interested in proper debate.
I was tired hearing the same mindless botnet meme over and over again and I guess I felt compelled to explain why this fails to meet the criteria of being labeled a botnet.

I wish you the best of luck doing this. Once a lie becomes a 4chan meme, it is very difficult to debate because most 4channers simply don't care for proper debate.

>>52435290
Thanks, you're right. I can at least try, even though it's probably in vain and futile.
>>

>Are you even familiar with where the the search result come from?
Who fucking cares where it comes from, you goddamn shill? The results are trash compared to Google.

>It's not a botnet
HURR HOW I READ POST

Kill yourself, you fucking moron.

>>52435215
Of course you do, Mr. Duck! DDG is the greatest search engine in the world after all! :^)

A botnet.

but i do anon.

even have a shirt and some stickers of theirs.
>>
>>52434597
But I do, but you are getting shittier and shittier by the day.
The sole reason I used ddg was because it actually served the results you fucking searched for. Instead of the retarded googleshit "what we think you are searching for"
But it's getting googlish and googlish.
Is a search engine that servers the results you are searching for that much to ask? altavista did it 20 goddam years ago
>>
>>52434850
I'm sure he was calling another search engine (most likely Google) a botnet, not DuckDuckGo.
>>
>>52436770
The same would apply to any search engine, or any piece of software you *chose* to use, anon. It has come to my attention /g/ hardly knows what a botnet is, namely because of the meme.
>>

I do!
