ITT we rank distros based on overall difficulty.

I'll start: Arch 7/10

Request for Gentoo.

openSUSE 3\10
Even Windows I'd rate 4\10 compared to openSUSE.
>>
>>52410522
any of them are difficult, well actually the must difficult its all ubuntu based because where created for stupid people and it is a pain in the ass to remove all the shit creators put in there and tried to use as a generic well designed distribution.
>>
>>52410955
I once tried to install openSUSE, but WiFi setup in yast2...

TempleOS is 10/10
>>
>>52411129
Does anyone actually use TempleOS. Or has it become a meme to everyone but good old schizophrenic Dave.

>Arch 7/10
Literally as easy as it gets once you installed this shit
Even the installation is straight forward
Slackware should be 8/10
>>
Arch is objectively the best, nothing breaks lol
>>
>>52411112
Select encryption type (most likely WPA2-PSK), enter SSID, enter password, done. I don't see anything wrong.
>>
>>52410522
If arch is 7/10, then so is Gentoo. The installation is almost exactly the same. One big difference is that you get to configure your kernel when installing Gentoo, but this can be mostly skipped using genkernel

I'm getting into Linux only now. What differentiates the different Ubuntu distros? Which is the most beginner friendly. I'm running Ubuntu now, but I want to know what is different about the others.
>>
>>52410522
For my purposes

From 1 being easiest to 10 being hardest.

Gentoo 2/10 easiest

Debian 4/10

Arch 8/10

Ubuntu 5/10

Slackware 4/10

Opensuse 6/10

Fedora 7/10

Haven't tried the rest
>>
>>52410522

Linux from Scratch 10/10

This

What the hell do you do that makes gentoo easiest?

The desktop environment.

>Which is the most beginner friendly.

Fedora

No really. If you do a full install it's a 5/10. All init scripts are human readable and slackbook make it really easy to configure.
