i use avast but i am starting to have privacy concerns. MSE seems like the worst option in this regard.
doesn't MSC send data back to Microsoft automatically? the last time I fiddled with it there didn't seem to be any option to prevent this.
I just want an antivirus where big bro wont rape my tiny asshole.
No they have a free option, works well and I don't have to update since its cloud.until last year they didn't even give me ads, since 2016 they give me a small pesky ad in a corner sometimes ,but its better then the other free alternatives in this sense. I don't know how good it is though, the av tests seemed fine though
I use the same, you can disable data collection in MSE and it does a good job along with Malwarebytes scans.
There are none
Defender is MSE, but built into Windows
I think Vista had it, then 8/8.1 and 10
I think MSE/Defender isn't quite as good at detection, that's why I use malwarebytes to be safe
>use an anti-virus they said
>it protects your computer they said.
AV software must be able to intercept and scan everything that enters or leaves your computer. It is impossible for AV software to "protect" you, if it cannot hijack your computer.
>you had to remove your doors, breaks and the steering wheel.
Which is not a correct analogy to AV.
Yeah, rest is shit I agree
Said it sends data to microsoft so I literally spent 5 seconds looking and You can go to: Configurations > last option(below advanced mine's not in english) > I do not want to participate (blah blah mine's not in english)radioButton.
