INTEL CPU'S CAN'T DO MATH!
>INTEL ON SUICIDE WATCH
How does this make you feel Jewtelfags?
>can be patched
via a microcode bios update that less then 25% of people will actually flash
no microcode update will truly fix a jarring design flaw like this, it will only help ease the problem
It could be an extremely serious problem for people who do CPU intensive work like 3D animations, video encoding, ray tracing, etc.
They'll be forced to buy a haslel motherboard and cpu to do their work.
None of that is CPU intensive, you really don't belong on this board.
>None of that is CPU intensive, you really don't belong on this board.
Elaborate. Ray tracing and 10-bit h264 video encoding uses 100% of my CPU. That seems pretty fucking CPU intensive to me.
Then your test is outdated or something. I played a ~30mbps 4K hevc test file on my laptop and it played lag and stutter free with gpu acceleration turned off in VLC.
Granted my CPU was hitting 80-90% utilization.
I'm on mobile right now but I'll run it as soon as I get home.
I still think your test results are inaccurate. The codec has been improved significantly and maybe requires less cpu resources to decode now.
>Still running an i5 3570k I bought 4 years ago
>Still has no problems
>Before that I owned some AMD CPU, don't even remember which one
>Always had problems
>Always getting hot while on the Desktop
>Always being shit
HAHAHA INTEL BTFO AMD BETTER YEAH!
>I was retarded and had no idea what the fuck I was doing 4 years ago
>I am still retarded today so I keep blaming the cpu for it
i still feel better than someone who un-ironically says "jewtel"
Or any of you dumbass fanboys really, brand loyalty is for suckers who don't understand the point of a free market.
CPU bugs are notoriously hard to shake loose due to the complexity of the entire circuit and the speed that CPU runs at. Still manufacturers would have noticed any obvious bugs during debugging so I would bet this bug requires some out of the ordinary conditions that most people will never come across. Those that are affected should be able to return their CPU and/or mobo at the very least if they cannot just install the update for some reason.
