I use the Moto G 2015
all-day battery life
fast and light stock ROM
the back camera is passable at best
haven't gotten the M upgrade like I was promised
I got the same phone, Just got the Marshmallow update about 3 days ago. Like it.
I disagree with the camera, I think it's awesome in good lighting (outdoors lighting really) but shit indoors and in low light.
better speakers than my LG p769.
Runs a bit hot when recording videos for 30+ minutes straight.
Runs better than the day I bought it
god tier messaging management
It's the one BB10 phone with iPhone tier battery
Is being killed off for a technically inferior OS
LG G Flex 2 from Boost Mobile
Curve is comfy and I'll miss it if I move onto a flat phone
AMOLED is beautiful
(Bonus) 32Gb of space
2Gb of ram (Boost only) doesn't allow senseless multitasking
Battery rapidly decreased under intense gaming due to 810 being a huge battery sink
>Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime
>Very tough build, I work in construction and my phone is usually in pocket being bent and struck against heavy tool box's I Carry
>good battery life, although it slightly depletes faster since the 5.1 update
>network, sometimes WiFi stops working for unknown reasons unless I restart it
>lag, there is a small delay when launching apps but it's something you get used to.
+ Aesthetically pleasing
+ Easy to jail break
- Making changes after jailbreak is messy.
> I miss my Moto :(
Galaxy s3 mini
Physical home button and touch Menu/Back buttons kinda separated from main window
It's size is good enough for me
Being a version from an older phone, this shit doesn't have much ROM support (I'm using the novafusion CM11, the only rom I found)
Also 4GB internal storage
Besides that, it wasn't expensive, I own it for two years now and the only thing I passionately hate about it is the internal storage
Nice screen and it's a powerhouse.
No SD slot, Xbox hueg, and I never really use the pen. Afraid I'm going to drunkenly stick it in backwards one day and fuck up the slot.
button for muting microphone and pausing the music
fucking physical keyboard
battery lasts 3-5 days
enough ram to handle all the basic operations
commands straight form the keyboard
search looks up anything that is in the phone's memory
support for android is laughable. although simple apps work, but their performance is terrible
has no amoled screen like q10
messenger often fucks up order of messages or doesn't send them at all
moto g 2013
>size+curved back make it really comfy to hold and makes me wonder why flat-back phones sell at all
>great battery life
>good rom support
>no sd slot
>meh to bad dac
>no ac wifi
So why don't you get a Q10 or Classic anon kun?
Moto X Play
God-tier battery life, lasts 2-3 days on my usage, outside the box.
Camera, specially with default app, pictures look great, but only when you get the focus right, and you dont get the focus right 2/3 of the time.
moto g 4g, 1st gen.
>small size for one hand use
>different backcovers, very cheap now
>sd card slot
>community support, has CM 13
>just one sim card slot
>no 5ghz wifi support
Is there any alternative to the default Cyanogenmod UI? Something like ugly buttons and shit? I'm willing to sacrifice some beauty for some juice on my Galaxy S3 mini.
Btw which kind of experimental shit can I put into this phone?
Moto G (2014, Titan, XT1068)
>Great display for only 720p resolution
>Stereo front speakers
>DUAL SIM (It's a pain in the ass to find a decent dual SIM device)
>was only 136.77 € a year ago
>5.0 factory ROM (however it has official Cyanogenmod 13 and M is on the way)
>Built in battery
>backlight LED not too bright
>no headset in retail package
Tried rooting a galaxy grand prime yesterday. Ended up soft bricking it getting stuck on some shitty FRP lock, having to install a bunch of software (ended with my laptop getting infected with the AIDS equivalent of adware), and reflashing some obscure XDA firmware.
I truly feel sorry for anybody who has that phone.
Battery life is good
finally good build quality on a nexus device
Fast updates from google
Can easily unlock bootloader and root.
Kinda large I still like smaller form factor phones.
weird camera hump
LG G Flex 2 c:
Very good display (AMOLED FTW)
Quick Charge 2.0
Will have 6.0
Price (Got it for 249€)
Battery life (but a quick charge external battery solves the problem)
Perfect size, compact 5" full hd screen
The back camera is pretty good
It's an old phone, so battery is shit and it has heating problems
THE FUCKING FRONT CAMERA IS AT THE BOTTOM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Seriously, i can't understand how they thought that was a good idea
Fast as shit (for a two years old phone anyway)
Amoled screen makes whites look like fucking shit (you can tell there is a yellowish tint in them)
Seriously this amoled meme needs to end, who the fuck wants a screen that degrades as months pass by??
If it wasn't for the amoled I'd put it a 9/10. But with amoled I'd say it's a descent 7/10.
They probably have 100 fucking apps open, my ggp hasn't lagged or froze once since I got it 4 months ago
Stupid people = stupid problems = stupid opinions
Same as >>52369508
+ Nice screen for the price at the time
+ Nice speakers
+ Good build quality
+ Good ROM support
+ Stock worked just fine anyways, but I'm an autist
+ Only poorfag phones with decent updates support
- I miss colored notification LED
- Battery life could be better
- meh camera
- It's the memest Moto G generation, with the fewest improvements. It should've had 3rd Gen's specs
I've used it myself to see what the problem is. There's not too many apps and only 1-3 apps open and it lags like fuck. Once the camera started not working, but that got fixed by removing the battery for a second. Now there's a problem, where the phone doesn't show battery percentage reducing. It only updates if the phone is restarted.
Super easy to root, rom, etc.
Shit tier battery. Needs charging frequently, gayming=1hr sot max.
Would like a larger, higher res display, and/or fingerprint sensor
I have these exact problems on a phone with pretty much the same specs, htc 626s, except no removable battery. 1gb of ram is much to low for fluid android at this point, and 8gb rom is laughable.
Moto G2015 1GB version
Battery is good
its reliable for the most part
Apps freeze, especially instagram. I can't view direct messages without the phone resetting
Marshmallow update made it slower even after factory reset
Front camera, light sensor, Flash, glance, and 1GB of ram for less than a $80
Cheap as fuck
LCD instead of OLED
No wireless charging
Was able to upgrade to 128gb storage for free
Some minor bloat, but you can disable most of it
Non stick Android
Battery life could be better, but I've seen worse
My lizard won't stop trying to fuck it for some reason.
You DO know they released marshmallow like 2 weeks ago, right? Unless you live in shiet europe which you probably do.
>can't think of anything else that is really bad, maybe just personal preference - phone seems quite small-medium for 5 inch and battery is neither great nor bad, just good enough for a day
Asus Zenfone 5 LTE
>Decent 8MP back camera. HDR is the icing on top
>Great specs for the price
>Not a popular phone therefore not many rooting capabilities (there's literally only >one ROM out there)
>Shitty front face camera that mirrors pics when you save them
I'm an iPhone user but got one of these for dicking around with android on. Mine was just offered the marshmallow yesterday, haven't updated yet. And the camera is pretty ok I think.
Like about it: dat battery life. Unofficial 64 go sd card support
Dislike: rooting voids warranty. Kinda squishy side keys (power, vol)
Storage (128, finally all my music, scores of books, some iso files always handy). Camera is foine as shit.
App Store restrictions means some app categories are just nonexistent (emulation, although Provenace via Xcode takes care of what I wanted for that; wifi scanners -- why can't I do that one? Wififofum was fucking handy). Premium finish means always worrying about nicks and cuts, so it lives in a case.
Like: Camera, battery life, less bloatware than previous LG phones, buttons on back
Dislike: The fact that there is bloatware at all (will root sooner than later), screen automatically adjusts brightness even when I have the feature turned off (again, different Rom should fix this)
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Fast enough for me when I need to do things.
Generally a powerhouse. I'm actually struggling to find an ample word for general all rounder that does things nicely when needed to perform.
So big I have trouble putting it in my pockets in a few of my pants.
Bad hardware design choice for internals and pen.
>built in audio tuner
>speaker is loud
>Oxygen OS is fucking terrible
>speaker is at bottom of phone
>small community due to Oneplus being douches
>fingerprint scanner is inconsistent
Once this phone get Cyanogenmod I am gone. It will be great once that happens.
good DAC, perfect size, aesthetic as fuck, stock android, nexus = fast updates
shitty fucking battery
Overall I really like it. Would love it if not for the battery. I think it's the best phone in its price range.
I've got a 2nd Gen Moto X
Battery life is a lot better than my GS4
Significantly less bloat/closer to normal android than my GS4
Support was dropped for it after not even 1 year and 1 month
T-Mobile Note 4 with 128GB MicroSD card and 10,000mAh ZeroLemon battery
>Excellent screen, fucking amazing outdoors compared to LCD
>Still one of the better cameras on a phone
>Decent audio quality out the headphone jack
>Loud ass speaker (It sounds like shit though)
>No matter what I do it literally can't die in 1 day if it's fully charged
>Can stretch the battery to like 5-7 days if I'm careful
>Signal strength is 10/10
>It's fuck huge with the ZeroLemon
>Touchwiz is shitty as fuck
>Cyanogenmod port is just not usuable for day to day use
>Headphone output isn't as loud as my HTC One M8
>No FM Radio
>really shit ROM support
>extremely low-power WiFi and Bluetooth
>camera is shit
>headphone socket has started to fail after 6 months
>took months to arrive from China, seller kept fobbing me off
>getting a used iPhone 5S to replace it in a couple of weeks
The camera and the speed at which it launches
How fast the fingerprint scanner scans my thumb unlocks
Battery life could be better, but throw it in powersaving mode and it'll do alright
No additional SD or battery support. Locked to 32GB.
