A Nano virus has been released and it's killing people rapidly! over the next 9 months it kills everybody except the people in the top 10% of the IQ scale and abruptly stops How will the world adapt to losing all but it's brightest people, and losing the dumbest 90% of it's population? top 10% is 120 and over on the IQ scale btw
So does the Virus know IQ is a horrendously shit measure that turns up inconsistent results?
Or is it what IQ is TRYING to be, an individually relevant measure of usable intelligence, in which case almost anyone who fancies themselves intelligent would die, and Africa would be one the most inhabited countries still.
My IQ is above the 99th percentile, and even I recognize something like this would be catastrophic for everyone.
Losing 90% of people, no matter what exclusive traits they share, would not be good for anyone.
Maybe start by losing the lowest 1% in the developed world over at least five years.
Or not, because really people with higher IQs are not inherently better than those without.
I'd like to ask, how does it feel to be this well wired? Is your thought process faster, can you keep more in your working memory? And most importantly, what do you do in this cesspool that is /gee/?
I don't know what the top 10% would do, because I'm probably not a member of it.
I've never taken a real IQ test, and I'm partially glad about that.
>tfw you have no objective measure of your intelligence
>tfw you're afraid you'd end up in the low 100s
wait, since IQ is a relative scale wouldn't the virus kill everyone as the global average shifts?
worldwide production and logistics of consumable goods would come to a standstill. those without survival skills would mooch off those with, becoming the new NEETs. the hardship of losing such a large chunk of our workforce overnight would probably lower the average IQ of subsequent generations, putting OPs though experiment out of business
end result: population culling and no more
