>buying an SSD in 2016
>beta-testing new technology
why do people keep doing this?
Trion 100's a piece of shit shovelware forced onto OCZ by their Toshiba masters to showcase a shitty controller Toshiba built for a specific type of NAND that's now obsolete.
>get SSD for desktop
>runs stupidly faster than mechnical desktop HDD
>works for years without failure
>come to /g/
>ask what I should be concerend about
>LOL U FELL FOR THE MEME
Shitposters like you should be IP banned, and probably castrated.
good grief, is there an anti-ssd team on /g/? I've never seen a board or group so opposed to ssds.
they buy ruined ssds and slap a QC pass sticker on them congrats you chose the shittiest "SSD" "company"
I know these sort of fucks, they keep their fucking dos based cloning software that doesn't use trim. penny to a pound you cloned it over in the worst way possible.
>they buy ruined ssds and slap a QC pass sticker on them congrats you chose the shittiest "SSD" "company"
OCZ's changed since Toshiba took over. I'd buy a Vector 180 or a Vertex 460 over a Samsung 850 EVO any day. Even the ARC100 is GOAT.
what you retards fail to mention is that when its 'read only', that is just for the current session it is powered on.
as soon as you cut power to the machine, aka reboot or anything like that the data is lost. so no, you can't just hit read only mode and then put the drive into another computer or anything.
b-but i have a 2012 macbook and it has an s s d and it seems to have worked pretty well with some exceptions that could easily be the os's fault but yea i mean over all its totally fine and its been four friggin years. when is enough, hm? when? a goddamn decade?
Is the marketshare for HDD falling so hard that they have to hire shill spamming SSD meme propaganda?
>being worried about losing data if the SSD fails
You retards actually store important data in the SSD? that's what HDDs are for.
>implying you need anything more than a 120 GB SSD for OS and essential programs
