>4100 mAh battery
>5" HD screen
>8 core CPU
>probably less than $200
Yep, Redmi 3 confirmed for best phone of 2016.
I don't even think Xiaomi still has North American LTE bands on their phones anyway. I would rather get that Alcatel idol 3 chink phone where you can atleast return it to amazon if something stops working instead of a shady Chinese seller.
That's what the masses like. When I tried their MIUI ROM a few months ago I thought it looked "pretty" but MIUI still had too much chinese-only junk preinstalled on it.
The company also needs to include the option for using a app-drawer on it.
When do we get rid of these shitty fucking "i list the spec sheet of an unreleased product here and claim it's the best" -threads? I can't even get a filter for this crap. There's two sides to the "consumerism" cancer on /g/. The first one are those who are against buying and discussing anything and the second one are the people who get hyped the fuck out of products which they know a damn thing about and aren't even released.
Redmi Note 2 was the shit, now they "improved" it with the metal case and fingerprint sensor but removed the removable battery and microsd slot. The OS is pretty good too. Best phone 2015 hands down, and a steal for the 160€ I paid.
>5" 1280x720 HD 95% NTSC with 2.5D curved glass
>MT6753 Octa-core 1.3GHz
>2GB ram, 16GB rom
>IMX214 13MP rear / 2MP front
>microSD up to 128GB
oh and pic related.
Ulefone power has all that and more.
Slightly larger than 6000mAh battery too.
There was another chinkphone with a 10,000 mAh battery that also let you charge other phones through it.
Can't remember the model though, it was slightly cheaper than this and slightly worse specs.
But fuck huge battery.
This was on sale for 70 dollars in Korea for a few hours recently and pressure from Samsung forced the store to take it down.
I'm not an iOS or a WP user, but fuck that. I want Sailfish on that fucker.
I hate how big phones slow me down when using them. I have my grip to reach the whole screen with one hand. I got a cheapass Alcatel with a 4.7" screen and it's so much more convenient and quick to use and it doesn't feel like a brick in my pocket.
I use this 150$ phone and its pretty amazing
Chinks make great phones somehow. I used to think the quality is shit in chinkphones because of the low cost but its pretty good too, i have dropped it dozen of times after buying it
>2500mAh battery combined with low consumption
>snapdragon 410 1GB ram (equivalent of 32GB ram of lagdroid)
>$40 every other week on deals
Why aren't you owning a lumia 640, /g/ ?
Who ASUS Zenphone 2 Laser? Just picked mine up a month ago, I'm impressed with how much it packs for $200 while still supporting all tmobile bands. I couldn't find a chinkphone that compares. I almost went with the Alcatel idol 3, but Alcatel does seem that popular for root and the software support is like 2 os builds and you're done.
MIUI was only ever good when they were still allowed on XDA.
But since they got butthurt and banned all kanging, MIUI went to shit... and now it's confirmed backdoored with clusterfuck of useless apps intertwined with the core system, so if you try to remove them you have to dig through a swamp of obfuscated code.
Shame because they have the best themeing engine around (which still has some CM-theme engine code in it..kek)
I don't think so. The only problem with old phones is that they usually are more expensive than their modern counterparts, they're more likely to lose community support sooner and usually lack some innovative hardware, like a fingerprint scanner. Usually it's just overall a better bang for buck buying a newly released phone, rather than an older flagship.
same guy here.
i literally dropped it on the floor 2 minutes ago and it won't start up again. fucking kill me
I hope you're trolling but if you aren't, put the phone in a well ventilated area on a non flammable surface, far away from anything that could catch fire. Do it NOW. Your battery could very well explode.
If you insist on charging it, keep your distance from it. Ruptured lithium batteries are no joke and have literally killed people.
Again, keep your distance and keep it away from anything flammable if you're going to charge it. Be ready to turn off the charger in case something goes wrong.
Here's something fun to watch just to keep you on edge. Skip ahead to see the entertaining bits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMy2_qNO2Y0
it's charging mate. everything seems fine.
feels so fucking good man. imagine having no phone, even if it's just for a few days
fuck i love my nexus 5
Why? The default applications are shit, and for the most part proprietary. Ambiances are still completely fucking pointless - taking cues from KDE's "activities" system, with everything useful about it removed. Of course, they're still given a prominent position accessible from the home screen. The interface in Sailfish 2.0 does away with cover interactions, finally solidifying Sailfish's position as an unpolished copy of Blackberry OS 10.3. Battery life is marginally better than stock android. But that's not surprising - a screwdriver uses less electric than a power-tool.
But hey, at least you wont need to suffer their shitty hardware. The other half backplate idea is still a joke that at best allows you to use a mediocre keyboard, and at worst nets you a ringtone+wallpaper. While the handset itself remains overpriced and out of date.
Good stuff. Yeah, being without a phone would be pretty bad, which is why I always have a backup even if it's just an old HTC 8x.
Just keep in mind, if it stats heating up without reason or bulging then it could be very, very bad. Most people aren't aware of just how powerful those batteries are.
>5" HD screen
>two SDHC slots, one microSD
>gaming controls with 4 shoulder buttons
>two analog sticks
>backlit QWERTY keyboard
>Debian Linux or install any other OS
Pyra is coming.
No gorillas glas but protectors are commonly shipprd with chink phones, I have seen packages with it and sd cards for this phone, plus is not that hard to to root Elehones, take a look into forums
The problem is you cant harldy get something better for the price, other chink brands are know for not upgrading their phones because of the short life of their products, thats why Xiaomi is better, than other chink phones despite the specs
Elephone has started to release american version of their new phones, P8000 (with x10 I believe), P9000 with the p10
With more efficient screens that is becoming overkill
" HD screen
Massive battery and we don't even get 2k?
>>two SDHC slots, one microSD
SDHC is outdated
Have this already without a dedicated port
>>gaming controls with 4 shoulder buttons
>>two analog sticks
No longer a phone
>>backlit QWERTY keyboard
Physical keyboards are for plebs
Neat, almost every phone has that
>>Debian Linux or install any other OS
Linux on a phone. If it's shit on desktop, how could it be better on a phone
There was better stuff than this out in 2014
>Pyra is coming.
Weak abomination, now being shilled for features that are either old or standard.
The P8000 and Ivory are MT6753. The US versions of both are currently in pre-order, but when I checked all the sites in the past 2 days carrying the US Ivory they're all "sold out." So it seems like Elephone has either delayed the delivery date to retailers or it actually is selling. Geekbuying, PandaWill, and 1949deal all had it last week.
X10 will waste far more battery. The 808 has 4 low power cores and 2 high performance ones. The Helio X10 has 8 high-mid performance cores. The 808 will only have the high powered cores on when needed, whereas the X10 will always have all 8 cores on.
>6k mah battery
Really all you need and awesome battery
Anyone have an ulephone so you can tell me whats wrong with them?
No thanks. I don't want the Chinese Ministry of State Security recording my bowel movements.
