Been looking at ayyware 15 as well but the configurator won't allow me to choose i7 6820hk with GTX980M for some reason (only R9 M395X is available).

The price is actually comparable to Asus and MSI while Asus ROG is even more expensive. A cheaper alternative would probably be Clevo.

To answer ops question more directly however, that honestly seems like a pretty decent price for what your getting. No the laptop equivalent of hardware won't run as fast as the desktop, but if your looking for a laptop to play some games this seems to be fine for the price.

Last gaming laptop I bought was the XPS M1710 before dell bought alienate. That beast lasted me a good 5 years and was tough as he'll. I'm not sure if the build quality is still the same these days, but they seem like pretty sturdy laptops.

I have Acer Aspire V17 NITRO BLACK gaming laptop. The thing I most like is its 17inch screen, so if your gaming on 15 inch screen fucking sucks. Get a 17 inch one good choise tho. I have kne anaon. It's great. I sprung for the desktop amplifier as well. Amazing for gaming on your TV with steam bug picture and a steam controller. I have a GTX970 in the adapter and it plays anything I want. Maybe not max setting on EVERY title, but everything still looks better than a Xbox or ps. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

That laptop compares pretty much exactly to a 2600k + GTX 780 combo.
Only downside with these things is that the screen is probably going to suck balls as far as colours go, but that's not going to be much of an issue if you only use it for gaming and not something like graphic design etc...
