Yeah, that surprises me too, but I'm more surprised about 2.2, 2.3 and 4.0 being so low. They are a bit old, but not everyone buys a new phone that often and some phones don't really get updated.

Huh. It just surprised me because I see a lot of the people I hang out with using Marshmallow on their phones, though I'm pretty sure a lot of them also have Nexus phones.

I like how Google groups versions for no reason except making it look less shitty.

New Android versions are rolled out in this order (in general):

1. Phones with "Nexus" in the name.
2. Custom ROMs.
3. Everything else.

It takes a while because there's a crap ton of different phones with different hardware, that all may need driver updates. Also, phone manufacturers are notoriously lazy, and many people like to avoid updates anyways.
