Both have their advantages. Both are lightweight, minimal systems. If you spend your time customizing source, Gentoo is more friendly. If you would prefer binaries in most cases, Arch.

Did anyone make a guide on how to make it more private?

I use both, and gentoo sucks on slower computers, e.g. a laptop. Arch is almost a binary-based gentoo with systemd.

They both suck hairy gorilla balls.

How is Debian less of a "binary-based Gentoo"?
>>
Gentoo is best because of the Gentoo User Repository, or GUR. It has any fucking piece of software you'd ever need.

debian does everything for you during setup, and there isn't the AUR
furthermore, it seems to install a ton more packages than arch does. also, OP asked for arch vs gentoo, debian not included.

Disable the automatic installation of recommended packages.

gentoo for home desktop, arch for laptop, debian for servers which don't care if their software is outdated.
