Anyone use android without the google stuff/play store?

Making a throwaway account is so hard.

I don't have google. I download my apps from f-droid, aptiode or raccoon (desktop, you still need an account). Apptrack to check whether updates are available.

There's apps that won't run if you don't have Play Services, but I think there's a way around it.

Anyway I'm too lazy, I just use a throwaway account.

yes. it's a thinkpad x1 hybrid that runs win7 and can switch to android at any time. i get up to 17 hours of use when it is using android. between 10 and 11 if i'm doing nothing but watching movies the whole time.

It really helps if you're rooted to prevent some apps from not working if you don't have Google play services, other than that everything else you may need can be downloaded through f droid, aptoide or blackmart.

the only apps I downloaded from the FakeStore are Signal, an app for my city's bus schedule, fitnotes to track workouts and shuttle for music.
from f-droid I'm using chanu, Firefox and a file manager.
using the aosp email app.
