You create it once, test everything and when you're sure it's perfect you stick it on your device and leave it run for decades. You only update it if you hear about software you're using having a security flaw, then you update it, and rinse repeat.
LFS isn't for your desktop or shitposting or wine gaming machine, its for those electronic (hobby or professional) things you happen to need an operating system for, think closer to smart homes than anything else.
If you need a shitposting machine, try any buntu except ubuntu.
