Do you Linux users really need so much free RAM? I have 8 GB but the only time when I actually ran out of it was when I had two browsers and a game running and tried to run another game. Even ffmpeg doesn't eat a whole lot of RAM.

Huh, I might actually be mistaken on that. I got an error when I tried last but apparently if you clean your disk and reset it to GPT from the command line, you can install it.

Windows 10 gave me no error so I assumed that was a relatively new feature.

Yeah, actually it will. Threads here are still relatively fast. Once a thread hits bump limit, it can no longer be moved up the pages, meaning it will fall off as fast as /g/ can fill up the space with other threads. Seeing as though /g/ is quite shitposty in nature, the thread will likely 404 in about 15-30 minutes. It's happened a few times before.
