Oh, new thread!
Added a shelf to the left. too busy to take a new picture. Old one will have to do.
Sup guys. Going comfy mode.
Cluttered but alright for a younger fella. The reversed spacebar really drives me nuts, it's comfy if you're a shit typist.
Reposting cause i posted in the dead thread. rip
new pic in a few days.
27" 1440p ones
Opinion: Cheap, gets the job done. One has sort of minimal backlight bleed (left one), the right has really bad backlight bleed. It's not really noticesable when you're doing every day stuff, but turn on a movie or have a black background and your eyes will bleed. No dead pixels, wobbly stand, some QC issues like the top of the right one looks like it blew open and there's a sizable dent pushing outwards. I could take pics if you want.
I got them for $290 USD each so I'm fairly impressed so far. I've owned the monitors for like 8 months. 7/10 -1 cause they weren't white.
Going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra in concert today.
New pic will be coming soon I promise!
too lazy to take a fresh pic. I should buy some weeb art for my wall
I liked how it looked with the shelves on the sides but i guess you're using them for the projector right? Have you decided to spend more time learning jap?
I like your keyboard.
nice n64 is that watermelon or orange?
where have you been anon? good to see you postin. new pic soon?
I have the same keyboard, I kind of miss using it.
I dont use the numpad anymore, I was using it for buy binds in cs for a bit but i just kept forgetting to use it anyway.
it as only there for a day or 2 and i just havent taken a new picture.
I think you guys came to the wrong site :)
Nice walkie talkie! Does your mom use it to let you know dinner is ready?
Relatives, I don't believe in smartphones
Nice too see you again. Also is that a thinkpad I see on those speakers?
I should have a new picture in a few days, cleared my shit after about 5 months.
Yes I have, I also purchased some green tea, I have Melatonin too but for some reason I'm worried to take it. Also tried earl grey however I found out I'm allergic to the bergamot in it.
Also I bought Influent on the steam sale to help out as well. Seems like a great program to use.
Because I was sent to this planet to bother the living shit out of you.
I liked it that way, but it also felt very clustered. But I also notice I have a tendency to go from a really nice looking setup back down a bit and then move on to a new setup that's even better. I personally just like to rearrange everything every couple of months.
The model M is like the FW900
People know fuck all about old computer parts and pay fortunes for only one model because they dont know any better.
This keyboard in my opinion is miles better.
It has black alps switches which require a lot of weight to press down and offer a good bit of resistance for your fingers.
If you are heavy handed like me its the best keyboard available arguably.
Imagine the keyboard on a T60 if they keys where full size keyboard keys with full size keyboard depth.
Still undergoing changes, headphone stand and HDVD800 coming in late this week.
Been thinking about getting laptop/tablet and using that as a replacement monitor as well, to save desk space
trying too hard and looks like shit
stupid hipster radio shit
bad taste and drinks on table

had potential but ya blew it
lol nigger loving hipster faggot
fully shit and i bet the music you produce is shit too
had potential but ya blew it with shitty gimmicks

What happened to your desk?
Nice keyboard, could use a wider desk.
2 keyboards and 2 monitors. Baller status.
Immediately remember that Christmas lightshow.
Nice as usual.
Ncase M1, I want!
Thanks m80, the chair is a Herman Miller Embody.
mfw you spent money on all of that just to go on 4chan
>TFW total set-up as planned, costs roughly $6,500.
>TFW I could have saved a lot of money but went for a certain look I and most of 4Chan like for the ePeen status.
Welp. I'm a huge faggot.
Here's mine still with not recent enough photo.
>the creepy doll thing is part of a collection of creepy dolls from various media I bought from Barnes & noble. It's a fozzie bear.
>huehuehuehuesextapehuehue I made it when I was 14.
>post it notes lost their stickiness so I taped them. They're reminders for shit to do in WoW arenas, this is my first season playing a hunter.
A sex tape? Kinky
Post chrimmus decor, coming through. Excuse the mess, haven't had a real chance to clean up since our last video podcast
I didn't purchase the sticks, just pulled 2 4GB sticks out of a Lenovo H430 and 2 1GB sticks out of some crappy eMachines desktop that no one in my family uses. I'm upgrading to this by next month. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Lh3pWZ
I suppose this thread might be the best to ask in:
I have a wooden desk, and my keyboard (SS 6Gv2) isn't sticking as well to it as I'd wish, and when I type the already infernal noise seems to reverberate from the desktop. Would it be too tasteless to get a plain black "gaming surface" mousepad to put under the keyboard to keep it in place and hopefully dampen the noise a bit, while also leaving me with some area to use as a plain mousepad?
I currently have my eye on the QPad UC-90, which is 90x42 cm (pic related).
If you feel like it's necessary, I'll post pictures of the desk in question as well.
> I have posters on the wall
> I have pictures of flat chested anime girls on the wall
> I have a mechanical keyboard
> I have more than 1 screen
> I have more than 1 keyboard
> I have drinks on the table
> I have food on the table
> I have flags/ unrelated shit on the wall
> I have "qt" "weeb" toys in my bedroom
> I have a cabinet to display my "figurines"
> my mousepad has a graphic on it
> I "code"
> I have "monitor speakers"
>not having at least half these things
could you hold on these fucks while i tip a few things?
looks really nice, i'm getting the same cpu soon
save up for that SSD man :/ you should also get a mouse with neutral colors, it kinda stands out.
this looks beautiful. only problem is the mousepad. it's really out of place.
you need better lighting. also your blinds are really messed up and they look so nice. fix them.
you need a nicer mouse. but that keyboard is incredible.
move your monitor from your laptop. it looks really awkward. also why does your desk have a railing?
lol gaming laptop
this looks depressing. are you ok?
definitely a 10/10
i actually like this, but the laptop kind of ruins it
invest in better monitors, man. you definitely deserve it. your setup is beautiful.
what kind of music are you going to play with those strings?
is the CRT monitor an aesthetic thing? because it would work if you modded it or something, that'd be hella tight
got any music posted?
this is adorable.
messy desk, bad hardware, ugly walls. cmon man.
looks nice except for the lamp. it's hurting my eyes.
i'll envy you forever.
cat pose is a plus, but clean up your wires. you have a wooden desk man. hop to it.
does your case get good airflow in that tight space? also i love your plants. i really need some of my own.
get a better desk man. the room looks lovely and your hardware is really nice too. just get a better desk.
really nice cable management. you shoulda taken the picture at a better angle to hide the wires behind the tower better though!
clean up, get a better desk, manage your cables better.
i wanna love this one but i can't. it's still nice though.
>definitely a 10/10
Wow! Generous! Hopefully you'll like it as much when I'm done.
In the mean time, old picture when I had a working camera.
When I have work to do on the PC, it usually gets done pretty quick. My time on the PC is usually something like a relative split between games, browsing the web/videos/music stuff, and photography work.
My entertainment battle station.
Sharp Quattron 42 inch tv
Verizon FiOS hd dvr
Bose Solo 15 speaker hooked up to the Xbone with a custom Bluejeans Cable optical audio cable (made with Mitsubishi ESKA plastic optical fibre).
They hate us, cuz they ain't us.
I got the TV on sale at the base exchange when I was based up in Rhode Island. $1100 tax free back in 2010 wasn't bad at all.
Xbone because I really like HALO and I've been an XBL member for 11 years now.
I'll be upgrading within the coming months.
>16GB 1,600 MHz
>2x 1TB HDD's
>It's actually a 4590S, 3.0 GHz 65W TDP
See guts here, if interested: >>45918250
I originally wanted the i7 to be honest, but I got this CPU on sale for ~$125 new. So, I went with it as a temporary thing. I'll probably sell it on eBay for just how much I bought it for when the time comes.
I forgot to say, this is obviously my newer build in the first picture you gave a 10/10
That old PC, in the black casing, I build and used for a while, for a family member. It was similar.
>Lian Li PC-Q03B
>Intel i5 (don't remember SKU, 2.9GHz 65W)
>Used onboard graphics
>2 x 2GB 1,333 MHz
>256 GB Seagate Series 600 SSD
>ASUS Xonar Essence STX
Finished cleaning up my cables. Feels a lot more organized and slick.
Thanks anon. I've just changed it again. Not enough leg room with 2 drawer units and a cabinet. I'm running out of desk space too. Maybe a much wider desk is in order.
Case gets very good airflow, the back is wide open on both sides and holes in the back of the cabinet itself. I'm running an OC Haswell and I idle under 30C and under heavy load I never go past 55 on NHD14.
Plants are quite nice to have, but mine are dying because I left for a few weeks and didn't water them.
Tiny desk gang reporting in.
Leave for basic in 9 days. Maybe once I'm stationed I'll have a normal sized desk.
It's the process that counts. The internet is awash with bedroom producers trying to get listeners for their "tracks"; as long as you enjoy the work, who cares if you get something "finished"? Composition and song structure can be fun to experiment with, but creative sound design is just as valid an art form.
apologies for the shit lighting. its from a camera on a phone.
Still need to get a better keyboard and clean up that cable mess.
Instead of playing video games, you could learn a valuable skill, enabling you to build hobby electronics kits and even repair your devices when they experience physical damage. With a little bit of practice and experience, along with a good multimeter and maybe an oscilloscope, you'll be well on your way to a fulfilling and engaging pastime! It can also trick people into thinking that you are the cool kind of nerd who knows things rather than an idiot basement internet man fail lord, which is mainly what I use mine for.
There's no jobs anywhere except chinese factories for that kind of skill, as I learned through bitter experience. It's fun though, and if you get decent at it you can even build synthesizers, drum machines, and hifi equipment, as well as radios, and sell them for small amounts of profit. It's like crafting in skyrim, except you get burns instead of skill points and you will smell like flux for hours afterwards.
If you're not interested though, that's fine; I just liked the functional look your desk has and would have picked you for someone who enjoys such things.
my upload is only 500kbs, I can't get it any faster where I live.
I could already do it for the most part I still need to fix my old headphones, but the iron I have doesn't get hot enough I guess.
Is it temperature controlled? Don't even bother trying to do electronics with an uncontrolled iron; you'll either be wrestling with half-melted solder or burning up your traces. A lot of people will tell you not to fuck with anything but the weller stations, but I've been using a chinese one with no problems except having to replace the heater once.
It's this exact model, except badged as Yihua http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-937D-SMD-Solder-Soldering-Iron-Station-Welding-LED-Display-w-Stand-5-Tips-/231250932927
B+, would recommend.
Sorry about it being dark, I simply do not know what to do without natural light.
Set the monitor brightness to the lowest and put one light behind you, not directly pointed at the subject you are trying to photograph. Try to scatter it.
Use low as possible ISO, tripod, timed shutter, expose enough to get detail out of the blacks without completely burning the whites(computer displays in this case). Shoot in RAW, edit in Lightroom by dragging up the shadows and lowering the highlights. Add a bit of clarity, mess around with the white balance, resize, add some 0.5px sharpening.
Tie dye makes me puke in my mouth, and the batman/superman buttons are super tryhard unless they're official merchandise you got with a purchase. What the fuck is that tacky shit you've got in the frame. Is that a picture of your sister in front of it? If so that's kind of cute. Why doesn't your lamp have a shade; trying to add a touch of the crack hovel look? You do not need a water bottle at your desk; drink out of a glass like an adult human being.
Sorry lads, I can't seem to get anywhere far just yet - I've more messing to do with the white balance, but at least I got some light on it - Horrid red and orange light, but light nonetheless.
I'll procure a copy of Lightroom too and see about using that too. Thanks for the help, though, I'll be sure to post it once I've worked it out.
