I'm on all the ones you want to get on, except for HDBits, which is a bitch to get into. I'll get in someday, though.
Ask me anything.
If you're also on several private trackers, feel free to answer questions for people.
Ask an email user anything.
I've been using electronic mail for around 20 years. I have a dozen different email accounts and receive 10-20 personal emails a year.
If you also use email, feel free to answer questions for people.
What trackers are you on and how do you defend yourself for being on them?
I'm only on animebytes and jpopsuki and animebytes is not even a real private tracker, took me 5 minutes to fill in the form on their website and 15 minutes until I got accepted.
>What trackers are you on and how do you defend yourself for being on them?
All of the good ones worth joining. I don't care to list them. PTP, BTN, GGn, etc. All the ones that actually matter.
Defend myself? Wat.
Ive been on waffles for a few weeks and I really dont see the point. It doesnt even have that big database of obscure stuff and for everything else there's tpb and rutracker.
Also, is ptp a step forwards from ipt and tl? If so, why?
>Also, is ptp a step forwards from ipt and tl? If so, why?
It make those trackers look like shit. There's no comparison. At all. IPT is just TPB with more seeds and somebody nagging you to donate every week.
PTP is strict and will ban anybody who gives invites to IPT users because IPT is private tracker cancer that nobody in the private tracker community likes.
In fact, most trackers will not accept a ratio from IPT as proof.
>go through the trouble to get into a private tracker
>just get the shit I actually need from it
>after a few months need something from it again
>account deleted due to inactivity
never again gonna bother with this
1. do you have to be active like daily/weekly/monthly?
2. how do you get into the good private trackers? (what.cd invite and then continue?)
3. are private trackers more safe than public ones?
4. do you need/should have a seedbox?
5. if yes, which service can be recommended?
6. is there a way to get invites without getting insta-banned?
>1. do you have to be active like daily/weekly/monthly?
Every 3 months unless you make a certain userclass.
>2. how do you get into the good private trackers? (what.cd invite and then continue?)
Pretty much. Or other trackers that interview.
>3. are private trackers more safe than public ones?
>4. do you need/should have a seedbox?
No. You don't need it. Most people don't have one.
>5. if yes, which service can be recommended?
I wouldn't know. I made my own seedbox at home out of a Cubox.
>6. is there a way to get invites without getting insta-banned?
Begging will usually get you nowhere because the staff on top private trackers punish people who give away invites by banning them, anybody they invited, and the person who invited them in the first place.
>Begging will usually get you nowhere because the staff on top private trackers punish people who give away invites by banning them, anybody they invited, and the person who invited them in the first place.
Why even have invites then
>the staff on top private trackers punish people who give away invites by banning them, anybody they invited, and the person who invited them in the first place.
Hahaha I remember this happening to a friend of mine. The guys at PTP banned like 10 people because of 1 guy breaking a major rule.
I'm on JPS and no one wants to download my etsuko or my various touhou doujin metal. What do?
The guy who invited me gave me 2k points so I'm not in danger but I download sparingly because I don't have any way to upload shit.
BlackCatGames or Gazellegames
What.cd, but many people say that signing up at rutracker does more than enough for them, which has open registration.
Here is a well known flowchart for visualize where to get what you want.
>there are people pathetic enough in this world to think someone cares about their fucking upload ratio.
LET THAT SINK IN FOLKS
Try WCD. It's much better. There are a plethora of reasons.
>obscure stuff (the reason I joined was to find this album I couldn't find anywhere else)
>better cataloguing and interface, ordered by release and format
>strict format and quality requirements so you know what you're getting
>community that cares about music
So on and so on.
>Also, is ptp a step forwards from ipt and tl? If so, why?
Yes. It uses a better layout, has better quality of community. It's just better.
E***o is EXIGO (a shit-tier tracker with a small slice of content from What and a community that everyone thinks is good but is actually dead. But muh e-peen/muh secrecy.)
Literally all the trackers' with names withheld are just doing it because no one cares about them for any other reason.
Source: User of private trackers.
Jpopsuki (love it to death)
Waffles.fm (waste of time, within the first few days of joining, I uploaded 65 torrents out of pity, as they just don't have anything)
Broadcasthe.net (95% awesome, but some cartoons just aren't there, for some reason)
Beathau5, an electronic-focused music tracker (my least used and needed tracker, but I still grab a lot or stuff from there)
Myanonamouse (pretty good for audiobooks)
Myspleen (the go-to nostalgia tracker, with new stuff added)
Empornium (love their siterips and megapacks)
Fux0r (garbage, dunno why I wanted to get in)
No, I'm PU or above on all except Fux0r and Beathau5.
I never stop seeding unless something I download is trumped, and I contribute whenever I can.
Forgot CBT/32Pages, best comic
book source I've ever come across.
HDB, but could do without. I know 5 or 6 people on HDB who can invite me, I don't have a seedbox atm though, so no point in asking.
Also, anyone looking for classic cartoons should join classicnickshows.net.
Just seed and you'll get bonus points. I've given out like 5000 bonus points, have 130GB of upload and 50GB down with shit tier internet and no one ever snatching anything I seed.
I got into What about a year ago, but got banned for a reason never explained.
I spent weeks idling in their locked account irc channel, and never got to speak to anyone, so i just said fuck it.
I want to accept an invite, but I don't know if they'll know I had a previous account.
I wouldn't care if there wasn't a chance that whoever invited me would also get in trouble.
So, I got linux a few days back. When I try to sync thunderbird with it, it crashes beacuse I have a lot of mail. How can I prevent that? Also, is there a way to add multiple accounts to thunderbird?
With mRatio, you can just add the torrents to it and it'll fake download. I just scraped the biggest torrents and added it there for the bonus points.
I also have a few VPS that i installed autodl on to grab the recent snatches and download exactly 24 hours later. You can rack up the snatches in no time.
I'll be straight with you, i got banned on unrelated charges a few months ago.
Got invited straight back in the same day though lel
Far less shitty users and generally higher quality torrents with more and better seeds. I'm not saying you're going to find a lot of music that you won't find on TPB, but that it's easier to find and obtain higher quality content faster.
Yeah What.CD is among my least favourite private trackers.
Reminder that a certain guy called 312c is always lurking/posting in these threads and he will ban any emails he sees here and probably report thread activity to other trackers.
He sucked quite a lot of dick to become mod of the trackers subreddit and deletes any anti-ptp post lel
