Your chance to get in early
I need new speakers
And a good camera
My shit. I should do some cable management on the back some day.
R8 m8s. Still waiting for Granite R2 to reach Abbottland
Not a huge fan of the desk but I like your lamp and the glass top is nice.
Pretty meh, needs a good clean and hiding your left speaker behind the monitor isn't gonna sound that great.
How do you do shit with the giant fuckoff sub so close to your legs? Ither than that it's noice.
Looks like you setup shop in my nan's house. Invest in an IKEA desk and a multi-monitor stand.
Weeb who doesn't actually take photos of his battlestations, only his stuffed dolls.
when are you getting more expensive stuff?
mouse? and great as always
The Blue Snowball was like one of the worst purchases i made in a while, just because the stand is so shit..
clean and neat
Here's something I've been trying to get working the past few days. I added a "third" monitor to my setup which is in between my 27" Monoprice 1440p monitors but I need a HDMI to Display Port cable cause for some reason my 4600HD IGP that can output HDMI isn't working properly on Yosemite. :(
Dirty/messy station pay no mind u_u;;
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY IMAGE. So mad
I wasn't telling him to get more expensive things. He mentioned that he was selling his current expensive things for different expensive things. That keyboard he has is ridiculously expensive man.
>subwoofer on desk
Is the shit your monitors are on (Risers? Stands? Idk what to call them) part of your desk, or did you buy them somewhere? I've been looking for something similar but whenever I try to search for it I get stupid shit like pic.
Getting to the point where I'm considering just fucking buying some wood and making it myself.
>tfw at uni another week
>tfw i shipped all of my parts home because sales and sending them to school would just be another pain to redirect home
>tfw parents nice and doing MIRs if i send them info
>tfw im scared that if a part is DOA, the fact that they already sent MIRs means i cant get a replacement
(i couldn't wait to do them then because they expire)
>tfw all this anxiety towards finally building a powerful PC
>tfw one more week
Hold me please
3Dconnexion SpacePilot PRO back when it came out. I would through in my Davinci set up but that's technically a full control system and not a mouse.
>spending 400$ for what can be done with 10$

2/10 but only because i like the webcam
Just to avoid making another thread.
Why does this computer's G3258 shows up as a G3420 in speccy?
and that's not a bad thing btw. Its a lot nicer looking than any pc user's ricer/super techy battlestations. /g/ usually doesn't have interior design taste, most mac users seem to gravitate towards GOOD design so their homes look really good. I guess more cultured.
They have good mid-bass, not low-bass (AKA Beats AKA NiggerBass that /g/ likes to throw at the 712s). Yeah, I upgraded to them from Q701s when I warrantied them, (buzzed at 40hz, so took advantage of return policy and finally exorcised the nub satan) and love it. I'm a fan of the coiled cable, though.
Are you running a combo headphone amp/DAC thing? I can't tell.
If the new DBZ game is good I'm going to miss my 3DS
Finally have my logitech g502, took the 5days to transport 40km..
But damn it feels nice.
50% off didn't feel too bad either!
I love that tv. I spent a year researching before settling on it. The sound is superb. I'll likely go with another Bravia when I'm married and go for a 75-80 incher.
It's lasted me nearly 9 years
It is separate from my desk. They are two different ones. I went to ikea to look for some and saw one of these on display. I don't even think they are made for monitor stands.
Got two of the boards and two sets of legs and screwed the legs on. I'd look on theyre website they might have them on there.
If you don't have an ikea in your area I'd reccomend making your own.

Is that a CRT I see?
Welcome too the club shedman.
Finally somebody who makes worse panoramas than me.
After looking at most of these I almost felt good about my setup
New camera on the way
going to document the destruction of these panels thoroughly
what reels? Also how is the built in reverb/echo on those radioshack ssm mixers
God I love your walls. So pleasing
Just normal (not NAB) 7" 1/4" reels.
R8 is great for 8 tracks as it runs at 15IPS>>45482076
The delay in my mixer sounds wonderful for emulating outdoor areas surrounded by large walls like London brick streets is the best way I can describe it.
How do those juno's sound. Ive always wanted a Juno.
Good for theremin practise.
These things are worthless definitely worth picking one up!
Just got done building this monitor stand.. cost $0 and it took me 2 hours. old lumber, nails and an old rusy handsaw
I saw one of those mixers for super cheap at my local shop and saw it had a weird delay/echo. I might go pick it up.
Juno is great. I could mess about with it for hours. With delay/reverb/pitchshifting it's just wonderful. I'd only replace it with a juno 60 with midi retrofit.
TAKE THAT HORRIBLE SHOT OFF OF THAT THINKPAD NOW.
Im sorry but tell your manager that his strategy isn't working. It seems the NSA'll take anyone these days.
Even non bronies know 1st gen isn't allowed.
Probably not. I've been in quite a few on /mu/ and they went quite well for a while aside from a few people trying to shitpost. I stopped posting there because the only responses I'd get were 'post soundcloud' or 'why do you need all that gear'
There were tons of awesome synth generals on /mu/ though. I haven't seen any lately as it usually ends up as a hardware vs VST debate.
I did consider /mu/, though I expected the results you just described. /g/, if it had enough EKTs, could probably have decent threads bearing in mind the constituents of the thread would most likely be aware as to why u-he DIVA is so glorious and actually be in possession of physical gear unlike /mu/; bearing in mind most of the posters are underage.
there used to be a few guys that were interested in granular synthesis, dsp, and procedurally generated synth music. Those threads were great. Also I do like u-he a lot but I havent tried diva yet. Only vst synth I use at the moment is fm8 for my fm needs.
What's your setup?
it's just some 11" pine shelving I cut up and screwed together to make the monitor bridge. the rack stuff is screwed directly into it.
it's kind of annoying that it takes up so much of my desk space. I'd like to make another rack with actual rails but I'm supposed to be moving across the country soon.
I'll post it in the next thread, it's fairly makeshift whilst I wait for my new virtual piano controller and desktop.
I've got an ms20-mini and an sh201 as far as hardware synths go. I use a small, shitty behringer mixer and a scarlett 2i2 for mic preamping and ADC/DAC.
Software wise I have pianoteq, every plugin from kxstudio's repo and Pd-extended. I'm going to purchase DIVA and kaivo by madrona labs by the end of the month.
I thought about stain but decided it wasn't worth the time.
it's tough to study or work sometimes when I have a lot of books and papers, or especially when I'm trying to do some soldering or repair. I can push the keyboard and mouse under the monitors so they're out of the way but I still really don't have much space. what I really need is an L desk so I have more space to work. my room is pretty small so I'll worry about getting a new desk after I move.
Gotcha. Personally I'd love an ms20 but I'd probably use it more for the filters. I love roland and really I dont think the sh201 is as bad as they say but that's because people seem to think it was meant to be the successor to the sh101.
I absolutely love 101's though.
Well I'll probably see you around. Make sure to take pics so I can remember who you are.
Christ, I love those filters, and I agree on your point on the sh201. It sound digital but unique. I purchased it primarily for the polyphony but you can get some *really* thick sounds from it.
Depends on the finish you want, 200ish is usually what people like for tables.
So I'd start with 60-80, go to 100, do a 100 again but light to not groove the wood, 200-220 for the finish.
If you can rent or get someone to lend you an electric belt sander that'd save you a lot of time. If not, use a block of wood to nail the rough grit in it.
Use gloves, splinters ahoy.
Clean and then oil/lacquer.
