PLS BE OF THE HELP
I need a chair that is not a thousand dollars and is good for my back
And also I need a monitor stand recommended, that can have 2 monitors on it. Specifically I'm gonna do a one vertical, one horizontal thing.
Also I need to make my fucking computer quieter. Is the solution to water cool like everything? Because I can't stand the noise right now. Fuck.
What's your bed look like
This looks like it'd be orgasmic on a cool spring morning
Where does the ladder go?
Postin' an old photo. Making quite a few changes.
>New desk matt
>New camera for the picture.
Deal with this shitty old picture for now.
Still need to manage cables and clean, haven't got around to it. Too busy enjoying the wonders of 144hz.
Has there been any news on 8GB Nvidia cards? I'm fucking hype.
you need 3 things to make this a great little battlestation
prioritize the chair, or at least get a small bean bag in the mean time, that must be hell for your ass
pic is wip, gotta get my other speaker up and do some cleaning
Mousepad is on it's way. Buying a chair next paycheck. Have shitty speakers that I don't want to use, but have a 2nd monitor with built in ones (same sound quality as standalone speakers anyways) on it's way, so in the next month my battlestation should improve a bit.
>Put the computer on the floor.
Implying id risk grounding out my board or causing a static electricity build-up inside my case.
>Put the side panel back on
Yeah I just love it when I see 99 celsius
Things I "need":
>keyboard that isn't obnoxiously loud
>mouse that fits my bear paw hands
Thing's I'm planning on buying:
>none of the aforementioned things, and
>christmas gifts for my friends and family
You'd think they'd cut me some slack about it, seeming as they're all proud/jealous about me not having a job.
you furry fucks :^)
remote taped to wall why?
>filename is life
I was staring at that so long trying to figure out what kind of holographic screen you had for your portrait monitor, your wallpaper looked like a curtain.
>all that black
I take it you don't own pets?
speaker desk. I like that.
not soon enough.
How is the no speaker life?
could probably live with a smaller mousemat, ya?
faggot keyboard. I'm jelly.
max airflow. nothing to be ashamed of.
I got a shit-tier speaker thing under my right monitor for when I am playing xbox (pic is old xbox is next to right monitor) or watching a movie otherwise I use my headset. I still live at home so I'll buy a decent pair of speakers when I move out.
>Spending money on a new case when you don't need one.
I know it's not ideal, if you look above them I have bookshelves for that purpose. I don't have any other place to put those fuck huge speakers for now though. After winter I'm outta here and then I can rearrange.
Guess I got lucky.
I had to opportunity to view it before picking it up. Does your brick get warm at all? The seller said "hur dur, keep it near a fan, it gets hot!" but mine barely gets warm to the touch.
Yeah it turned itself off at random points, more often and often until it only stayed on for a second or two. And not that I know of, only had it on for an hour or so but the brick is barely warm.
Not that Anon but these guys have a way to stop Windows taskbar from being inaccessible to overlay by windows or Rainmeter:
(currently down because Lifehacker.com'd)
That way you can use Rainmeter as a taskbar display.
Hard Drive used and total space.
CPU usage (in percent)
RAM usage (in percent)
CPU temp would be a nice bonus but I have speccy so it's not necessary.
Appreciate the referral, will check it out as soon as it's back up. Bookmarked.
Yep. Here's Launchy and some media/weather shit sitting down there.
>Hard Drive used and total space.
hahahahah no. but if you really want it http://lifehacker.com/5056492/traydiskfree-monitors-hard-drive-space-in-your-system-tray
By hobby, not profession.
Though that amp wasn't very expensive second hand with pretty bad humming. It's quite old. But still good once I replaced a few components.
That's what the skateboard is for.
yo gatorade is my shit
10/10 for electrolyte power
My speccy is sort of wrong, Just sold my U2713HM. So many monitor options now I'm going nuts.
How do you even make use of all those monitors? They're all so spaced apart. and different sizes.
Yeah Ikea Numerar countertop sitting on Alex drawers and Ulrik shelf. I normally despise Ikea shit, but I had no luck finding 2 metal black filing cabinets of the correct height.
This post sponsored by Ikea.
I know you've been changing your setup quite a bit, but this one is now one of my favorites.
>tfw it's 3 AM on thanksgiving
>tfw you can't sleep
>tfw you can't sleep because you're applying to so many fucking places to get a job
I really want to start working. I keep on hearing "Your reel is amazing!" "Wow you're a great animator, awesome job dude!" and my reel even got featured on my school's art page, yet I haven't gotten a reply back from a single studio.
PS. I understand it's turkey day.
PPS. I hope the rest of the americans in here have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :3c
Alright got my cables and cleanliness in order.
Put together another multi-pic.
3 of them are actually the same size. The ROG swift is smaller in the middle.
Thanks man. I appreciate it. I was really happy with the curved monitor, but it was having some serious issues.
Loving the swift and the extra monitors for now. :]
It will always change though.
I mean honestly if you have some decent friends and close enough family I would definitely bring it up and make it a tradition. It sounds pretty cozy to take an entire Thursday off of work or school and just cook a bunch of delicious home cooked food and chill with people that are close to you.
No problem dude. I am thinking about making a setup like yours now but with more 4k, more expensive speakers.
I am such a consumer whore.
My 3d animation demo reel.
I had this D820 in a dark corner of the attic, I'm gonna use it as a seedbox. I wonder how well it can survive a 24/7 uptime.
I just replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the whole thing, but it still gets kinda hot, around 50°C idle, idk if it's normal for a centrino duo cpu.
I got my new desk guys :D
And I'm still waiting on my fucking graphics card
got a new case cos i was bored of my old one
what should i do with my old case with limited funds?
I wish I had some real curtains. Not sure what I can put over those blinds but during the daytime it sucks and I hate the sun.
usually http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/ sometimes just finding hi-res pics while randomly surfing. I uploaded some here in a previous thread : https://mega.co.nz/#F!gh9DTSrL!ZIMNaOq6N1pL5FjeEf7NPg
Took some advice, borrowed a chair and put my speakers back, used a better camera.
Bumping with the first bstation pic I posted on /g/, cuz why not.
Three hundred? My first real case, pic related.
how do you guys feel about this monitor
it has an AHVA panel, should i wait out the next few days and hope for a better 1440p ips monitor to go on sale or should i be fine with the acer monitor?
>Do you do erotic furry sketches for commission
no, my religion prevents me.
because the most normal person is the most psychopath.
It's not long enough. Yes, it fits but I have to keep the door open and my temps are a bit higher when it's in there. If I had the tools to cut off that back panel it would totally fit though.
goddamn nightmare. although if the walls were a nice fresh color and the desks were raised a couple feet and someone put a chair in there and the dolls and creepy portraits went the hell away forever and better lighting and maybe get rid of a few screens it could actually be decent. right now i don't know how someone lives in that dreary, dead environment. love just havin a nice fresh station where work can be accomplished, this is nothing of the sort and it makes me angrey.
Hey ne0phyte i saw you on reddit! :D
Don't worry, i won't look at your post history.
just got my mech keyboard, gotta love dem blue switches. typing is a dream now.
So i'm looking to buy a new rig, is it ever acceptable to just buy a pre-built ? or did you guys all build yours from scratch ?
Fuck what anybody else thinks, if you value the work of building a computer to be equal to the difference in price between what you pay for the finished product and the cost of the parts, then that's perfectly fine. Always choose your parts though, don't buy from ibuypower or any stupid shit like that, buy from a company like magicmicro. Their markup is really low and they don't fuck up. Inb4 magicmicro shill.
doesn't matter. i've built one before and have bought pre-built. i honestly would buy pre-built just because i can't be arsed to buy the parts and put it together.
it's very rarely necessary as most people have nearly he identical components in a computer anyhow.
