Got the little dot and AKG's about a week ago. Looking at getting a DAC now but i'm not really sure what to buy. So far it sounds great but after upgrading my amp i've been able to hear all sorts of interference from my onboard sound and my Xonar DG stopped working for some reason so I can't use that anymore.

I'm saying this because I was pretty much you right after high school. I did fuck all under my parents roof for close to 2 years. At that point I was very depressed and had no real life goals. I felt stuck. I began thinking that my life had no meaning, then luckily someone made me come to my senses.

I'm not sure if this is going to help you. I'm going out of my way to say this to you; much like the person who helped me did to me. I know looking for a job is hard; but you actually have to fucking try. Don't give me that "I keep sending in my resume" shit. That's not going to cut it. You might actually have to go there in person and request an interview. Cover letters. Make them feel like they're your main interest. Address THEM in the cover letter. I don't care if it's fast food, construction, retail or the oil industry; you have to start somewhere if you're not going to secondary school.

Make something out of yourself. It feels really fucking good.

I should add, depending on the area; oil fields are paying $20+ an hour. If you can take the hours, It only goes up from there. Some lines of the work are easy (swamping), or harder (service rigs). I have experience in it and I learned a lot from it.
