I had a two weeks vacation, and barely tracked anything. Ate out with family frequently. Had many dinners out with coworkers since the first week was technically a business trip.

Only managed to put I think 5 pounds on, but might be less depending on how much is waste/water weight.

I see people saying 1,200 calories is a terrible idea but ive been doing it for a month and have gone from around 84kg to 73.3kg and i feel better than i ever have - im meeting all my macros easily (low carb, lower fat, high protein, i also take a multivitamin and a few others such as omega 3, zinc etc) and slowly getting my noob gains with gym every other day. I hit 73.9 on monday and i set myself the goal to try and get 70kg in two weeks time, or as close as possible. I think the best things ive done to help me with my loss is buying a blender, buying and learning how to use various seasoning herbs and spices and using myfitnesspal to track my calories (and browsing and getting advice from /fit/)

I go to the gym every other day and do between 20 - 30 minutes of HIIT cardio as a warmup (10 - 15 minutes on two of the following) treadmill, elliptical, treadmaster, rowing machine and then I do strength training, I'm currently doing a full body routine and starting to lift:

It is easy tho, I just live off soylent whenever I wanna loose weight. Start off with one bottle less than standard healthy adult daily intake and if you're overweight ketosis will start up in no time at all.

Have any of you had your gallbladder removed? I was in the er last week for a seriously painful attack, and I was diagnosed with gallstones. They told me it would get worse and they recommend surgery.

The stones were caused by my rapid weight loss (50 pounds in 3 months). I still have 60 pounds to lose and I'm afraid of having more frequent gallstone attacks but also about how the removal of my gallbladder will affect my weight loss.

Anyone else here find that losing weight changed your sleep schedule?

On month 3 of diet right now, I am 208 lbs at 6'5" (94 kg at 197 cm). Before beginning diet I was 245 lbs (111 kg).

I used to always feel drowsy and compulsively fall back asleep unless I spent at least 8 or 9 hours asleep, but recently I've been fine with working and exercising and having active days, even if I only get 6 hours of sleep.

is this a result of fat loss / exercise? Have I been wasting two hours a day, every day of my life, by being a fat fuck?

Problem is I'm using the granulated version, which is bulked up with maltodextrin. It is a lot less than sugar still, but I already wasn't using sugar. I was using chopped/pureed fruit in limited amounts, or liquid sweetener. As for my stats, I was around 65 kg at my highest point, quite a bit rondouillette... I started dieting and exercising (irregularly) start of May.
I am now 52.8kg as of today, so I lost about 12.2 kg approx. I'm not sure what exactly my goal weight will be (an estimate would be 47.5kg) because I am going to focus on body fat percentage and aim for <16% (much harder pour nous les filles to go deeper without enough muscle mass). Ultimately I won't stay that weight very long, a few weeks at most before I can start a long clean bulk (I'm going for 20kg total mass gained, hopefully 15kg muscle/5kg fat) and then a little cut to tidy up the look.
I don't have the motivation to do endless little circles of cuts and bulks, so I'm going for a long bulk first. So ultimately my ideal goal is around 65kg with 16% body fat.

The reason people say it's a bad idea is that many people try too hard, fail, and then give up. Stay up a whole day, and then make sure to stick to your sleep schedule afterwards, especially to waking up at the correct time. You should go to sleep 2-3 hours earlier than your planned bedtime after staying up a whole day though, because you are likely to sleep for 10 to 12 hours. I think you should use a floating point number for age, so the TDEE gradually decreases over a year, as opposed to jumping every year. Obviously your TDEE doesn't literally decrease by a fraction of a kcal every day, but it would still work better than a jump every year imo.

Also, as I've said in my other post >>42121382, it takes less kcals to build muscle, but the "weight in 30 days" is still based on fat gain in the muscle gain chart. Obviously I'm not saying it should show an even higher number, because you can only build so much muscle in a month, instead I suggest that it should have a "muscle gain in 30 days" and a "fat gain in 30 days" cell. The muscle gain should go up to some estimated maximum, and after that the fat gain should increase from 0. It's not perfect, because the maximum of muscle gain varies a lot depending on your program, how long you've been lifting, and probably your genetics, but it would be useful to give a warning if someone is overeating.
