now that i'm losing weight and looking better, I feel a smidge of regret that i didn't do it earlier. weird thing is i don't even regret things much. it just requires being conscious and somewhat committed to the general downward trend.

already 21. only one more year of college, i could have spent three college years feeling comfortable and confident in my own skin. how much that would've changed my life. I could've been more social, i could've been more attractive to women, i might've gotten the romantic and sexual attention i so meaningfully crave sometimes.

1800 cals is WAY too much. Your TDEE is likely around 2000, so it's no surprise that you haven't seen many results yet. Cut down to at least 1400 a day, maybe even 1300. And make sure you are always overestimating your calories instead of underestimating.

Too low would be eating anything less than 900-1000 cal a day. Do at least 5 minutes of research. And even if you do add in exercise, don't count those calories. Exercise calories are only insurance for if you accidentally log wrong or fuck up later in the week

I did keto before I had surgery and became a fat fuck. It was alright I guess, I think a larger side effects of it is that when you're so insanely restricted on what you can eat, you're extremely cognisant of how much and exactly what you are eating. Most of the foods you'll accidentally munch out on, on a normal diet are out the window. Since it's not ever acceptable to go over your carb limit or you've just fucked yourself for a week, you're not going to be able to rationalize driving through some fast food place, or eating some chips nearly as easily as you would otherwise.

Because if you're on keto you know there's a SLIM margin of carb intake to pull you out of ketosis, and effectively ruining your dedication and time. So before you try to have a snack, before you eat something you're not 100% familiar with, you'll be googling it, reading the label through and through etc...

You can't calculate an exact amount. Gym machines have readouts on them that'll give you an estimate but it's based on averages so can be off by up to 20% in either direction. Fitbits and apps on your phone can do a similar thing.

I have a caliper coming in the mail, so I might do a comparison with those tests results, and give /fat a general idea of which ones were pretty accurate.

I average 90g of protein a day, (the recommended amount for my stats based on 1g per lb of lean body mass), which as you might guess means I am a womanlet, and if I still want to get decent results in my cut (with a TDEE of 1560 approx.) I have to average 900cals calorie intake. With that small amount of calories, I have to eat mostly lean proteins like eggs, fish, chicken. I add a 100g portion of vegetables (usually mushrooms, carrots, peppers);Rest is cottage cheese and a 50g portion of fruit.
I have not eaten bread, rice or any processed carbs in months.

As per your comment on the fat storage differences, it's a definitely valid hypothesis to explain the inaccuracy in assessing correct bf% depending on sex.

That means you can get to eat 500g of it, and rack up 22.5g protein for a meaningless 160 calories. Almost as good as chicken, but you'll only get like 80g chicken to reach that amount.

I'd say in that regards cottage cheese is good if you need to eat more, with low calorie and fat costs, while racking up extra protein. It's a filler food. Also I am sure there are other brands or formulation of cottage cheese that have even better macros (I'm thinking less carbs than that), as this is the only cottage cheese product in my country available.
So if you want to bulk up on high quantities of "dessert" type food you can mix in fruits, peanut butter, berries, other anons suggested a savory version with garlic, chives and herbs and spices...

I've just been ravenous the last week and a half, though I realize now it's most likely because I haven't been managing my macros very well. 27lbs is doable in two months if you put the work in. Just make sure you adjust your calories as you lose. With a 1500 a day deficit, you'll lose 3lb a week.

Actually that's incorrect. For a given distance the body actually uses fewer calories when traveling at a faster pace than an artificially slow one. The tendons in your legs use the forward momentum more efficiently at faster speeds. This is true up to a point of course but should be examined.

Depends what you're trying to do. Are you trying to lose weight, if so and you feel fine, focused and alert then it's no problem. I do 1200 when I'm dieting/cutting and I felt fine if you take care of yourself. Don't count calories burned, it's not accurate and it will help you in the long run if you forget about adding or trying to make up those calories.

oh muh guhd I did a booze fast but because I partied 3 weeks straight every day and would never be hungry. the only thing that kept me going was the electrolyte drinks made for diarrhea and Gatorades I lost like 20 pounds and was kind of dehydrated after the whole ordeal. 10/10 would recommend for a fattie but not for a lifter I lost quite a lot of muscle
