If you only lose weight without lifting you go through stages of skinnyfat with progressively smaller diameter until you reach skeletor mode without ever looking good at any point.

Depends on degree. If your "cheat" day is eating pizza under your calorie goal, then once a week is fine. If your idea is eating pizza to maintenance, I would suggest almost never unless you have been a good boy for a very long time and are about to flip. Good, you will notice that the people here who are successful have no/little cheat days and the ones that do always stay in their calorie goal for the day.

While it sounds like bullshit, once you cut off the garbage food for a while and eat correct portions your body will stop you from doing that again. I used to be able to slam down a large pizza, brownie (9 big dick pieces, prob atleast 2k calories here alone), and cheesybread before getting full.

Now I barely get half way through a chipotle burrito and my body gives up. I instantly get sick if I eat actual fast food, and anything beyond 2 fun size bag of skittles makes me lethargic as fuck.

So I managed to go from 220 lbs to 185 lbs, but I'm still at ~16-17% bodyfat (I'm 6'2", I eat 1500 kcal/day)
Should I cut to ~12% and then clean bulk?
I've been only lifting on and off during my cut since I'm a lazy piece of shit, so no muscle mass to be found anywhere.

I had a sit down with my parents to let them understand my goals and that I have a strict mealplan that I planned out. And to let them know from then on, to always ask me before getting me things out of kindness because often I will be unable to consume them especially without proper notice.

After that I rarely have an issue. They will ask me if I want chinese food to which I decline or have them get me grilled teriyaki chicken + brown rice which ill eat a day or two later.

People are stupid and emotional, and families are like that to an extreme because you came out of their cooter. Be very gentle with them and make them feel loved in other ways besides accepting their fat faggot treats and talk to them like a person. Gl!

My mom took this really hard because she loves to cook and got really offended when I tell her I don't want as much food. She took it as a personal failure on her part and it took ages for me to convince her that her food tastes fine, it probably tastes too good. In the end she bought smaller plates just so she could learn not to stop overloading everyone up. I moved out years ago but when I go back she still remembers this and serves on those small plates be bought back then.

There's easy alternatives. I like instant tea and seltzer water. Both are usually zero calories, but some instant tea brands can be up to around 10 or so. I found that the craving is for setting either fizzy or flavorful, so just find something that satisfies those cravings but without calories. Seltzer is technically soda, but there's neither any sugar or calories. Watch out for sodium, though.

I had the same issue too, but looking back at it, I didn't actually even like soda that much. It would always make the back of my mouth feel like it's coated in gunk and my teeth sticky to the point where it feels like they grate when rubbing up against each other. All I really wanted was something that was more flavorful than water, and soda was the most convenient.

Hey bros! found out a nice trick for the ones that wants to try the water fasting road. If it sounds too hard, try to eat keto for 3-4 days before: your body will start to adapt to live without carbs and you will not feel hungry because you are still eating protons and fat, that makes you feel full af. Then, after these 3-4 days, you start to water fast. You will already be in ketosis, the body will start to rely on your visceral and subcutaneous fat reserves and all will be good.

I just got on the scale and I'm apparently down 3 pounds. This makes no sense. I'm still trying to make up for the pizza I had on Monday and Tuesday.

Only thing I can say is that I'm doing more exercise than I thought. Before I wasn't losing weight when I was counting and eating some of my exercise calories. Now I'm losing, but much more than I should.

So, I went and had a Dual X Ray scan today /fat/ I started out at 370. I'm down to 307. Though, apparently, I have 35.4% body fat, and my goal weight (assuming no muscle gain) is 230.

Doing the math: If I can maintain my lean muscle mass, I get to be one of those annoying people who will be obese at 15% body fat.

I posted on the other fat thread but still need to see what i do wrong and i lift heavy and all lifts are going up plus i'm cutting but aesthetic wise 20kg feel like did nothing for upper body. Started in february 120 kg and first pic is 115 now i'm 93kg at 180cm. From March i lost almost 15kg but i feel there's almost 0 difference on how my body looks in pictures and almost all of my fat was lost from legs. Did anyone else run into this problem? Can't seem to start losing weight from core area

2 things:
1) a large chunk of weight lost is water weight, even as people get leaner and leaner.
2) ~20% of all weight lost is LBM (decreased blood volume is a big one, esp from superfat to regularsized) before muscle loss is even accounted for. a problem with bf% is that it doesn't say anything other than "this is how much fat you have, and here is everything else".
a 77lb drop in weight would mean a 14.5lb drop in lbm and a 61.6lb drop in fat (assuming no muscle loss). that'd put you at about 20%bf at 230, which is FAR better than where you are but i'm going to be honest with you: your goal weight is lower than you think.

I think it's highly unlikely that you used to lift before, at your previous weight, and the "fat people are really muscular underneath because they have to carry all that fat" thing is a meme in most cases, so I wonder where all your muscle mass came from. Having an unhealthy BMI at 15% bf is top natty tier, and your goal weight is 104 fucking kilos. Can someone educate me on how this can happen, maybe you're gonna have to lose a ton of water weight too?
I'm 100% not writing this out of jealousy, just curiosity.

Some of the tasks in the world's strongest man competition require some endurance, like carrying a huge weight for x meters, so I suppose some cardio could be useful when you train specifically for that. I don't have a car. I walk or bus everywhere. Looking at the scan, most of what is definitely my muscle mass is in my legs. So I'd guess spending years carrying 100 - 150 extra pounds around, even if it was probably for under an hour a day, kind of added up.

Whenever I do a 24 hour fast towards the end of the day I get this really manic feeling that accompanies the burning emptiness in my stomach. Does anyone else get this? Feels kind of awesome. Like your body wants you to hunt or something.

TL;DR: how should I train to climb Mt. Fuji?

165cm, 97.5kg (down from 105kg last month).

I'm super out of shape but walking 8km minimum everyday, usually more.

I've always wanted to climb Mt. Fuji and I might have a shot next summer. Should I switch to hiking, or using a stair climber or something to prepare?
