I ate 1,200 to 1,600 calories for 8 days (TDEE 2,300) and lost no weight. Fluctuated between 208-210. So I water fasted for 2 days just to lose some more weight. Ugh, I get it. I would get this second hand smoke everywhere in university, and after a while it smelt disgusting and horrible to me. Didn't even attract me anymore, just was toxic.
The way I did it was to simply seclude myself for a couple days inside the house, with no money to go buy cigs, and to rely on weaponized autism as in social anxiety not to buy them anymore. I succeeded eventually and after the first week or so it was really easy.

You can overeat one one day as long as you make up for it on the rest of the week. Your weekly calorie intake is way more important than what you do on one day. Losing weight means playing the long game.

If you eat 1000 calories too much on monday, then just eat 500 calories less on tuesday and wednesday. Or do short term water fasts (between 24 - 48 hours), that works as well.

Are you just starting your diet or have you been on it for a long time (multiple months) and you just had a rough few days?

First thing to consider is what are you bingeing on? Did you have a jar of peanut butter that you went ham on or did you go out to macdonalds and pig out? if it is something that you have in the house you need to decide if you need it. If you went out and pigged out you need to start considering healthier options for yourself and either make everything at home (best option) or find healthier places to eat, subway over burger king.

Tell us more about your weight, how long you have been doing it, diet etc and we can give you better information.

It depends, if it happens once because you're stressed or anything, it'll at worse be a minor set back. If your diet is solid otherwise, keep with it.
If it isn't the first time or that you have trouble keeping the calories low in general, reorganize your fridge (cook meals in advance, don't have anything you can binge on), or try indeed eat at smaller intervals.
See long term, not short term. It is but a set back, unless you have a deadline, you have all your life to lose this weight.

I've been on a cut for about two and a half months. Changed diet when I came to my parents for the summer. I used to feel satisfied with grilled chicken and steamed cauliflower/broccoli, but somehow it doesn't feel enough for me. I always feel hungry, and it just weakens my mind. Even oats (which used to feel insanely filling) still makes me hungry in a few hours.

The last few days I've been pigging out. I've had this craving for pizza. I've been holding out for a week but i finally caved these past few days. Maybe I should make my own junk food at home? Trouble is they all still seem calorific, what difference is it if I make a pizza at home?

It's been three weeks of logging already. I always make sure to take whatever option has the highest caloric value, and I weigh all my food seperately. I don't use anything that can be attributed to hidden calories like condiments (only thing I use for big meals is like 10g of Sriracha which is like 14kcal).
TDEE is set as sedentiary, but I pretty much ignore exercise as calories as I don't do too much cardio anymore. I'm sick and tired of that shit. I do go lifting regularly though.
I dunno man, it's always been this shit with me. When I was told that my TDEE is around 2350 at some medical exam that included me sitting in some weird ass vacuum chamber, I was honestly surprised. I was never able to produce significant weight loss unless I cut to 1000-1200, but I start to feel horrible after a while doing so. I thought sticking to 1500 would be a good balance and I don't feel hungry or anything but shit's moving nowhere.

I realized today that it's a good idea for me to buy a pint of this and eat it in one sitting from time to time.

Not just because it's low cal ice cream, but because it makes me realize that if that had been ben and jerry's, that pint would have been gone in a few minutes and i'd be over my tdee by 1000 calories for the day.

I think this is more of a general lifting question, you would have more success getting an answer in a lifting oriented thread, since a lot of people here don't lift. However, I would focus on losing the weight first and then on lifting, because losing weight will improve your looks a lot more over the short term, and because it is generally recommended to start by losing weight before concentrating on lifting for people whose bf% is over 20. I'm not saying you shouldn't start lifting right now, but it shouldn't be done at the expense of weight loss.

hey guys. diet break anon here. i think there might be some truth to this. i started on monday, it's thursday now. i weighed in on saturday, so 3 days of eating at maintenance and 5 days since weighing in. i was 226, and today i'm 224.6. i was on 1700 cal a day, and for the last 3 days i've been eating 2350, my maintenance is 2450. i'll keep you all updated on how the next week and a half goes

I've gone from 106 kg to 78kg, 188cm, and I'm getting lots of compliments and people telling me how good I look lately. Gf even says I should stop before I develop some eating disorder.

Thing is, I still see myself fat, no vascularity, abs or lack of love handles yet.. I'm around 17% bf, and willing to get down to 75 or 73kg just to start at a decent point to clean bulk. It's not really going to affect my life since I'm stopping the second it appeared, and that I'm already on NAC so the onset will be slow enough that my dnp will dissipate before it gets serious.
The main problem is just that I have to lose weight as fast as everyone else, and probably miss like 1-2 days of work while I'm in recovery mode. I switched to dnp for one cycle because I've always had a problem once I hit 170 getting those last 10-15 pounds off.

I knew the risks, and I know I have no one else but myself to blame for this one. Thanked my distributor for the helpful advice and said it sucks but he followed through 100% on his end + some by keeping me knowledgeable on the product and risks.
It's a super rare thing, and even to those that it affects it's not like the allergy thing where it'll hit you every time as much as it is rolling the dice (like how with cancer, even those at higher risk due to their genes are still simply at risk, and they could make it to their 80s without ever getting cancer, since it comes down to chance).
I just came up with snake eyes on my roll, so I'm going to let the neurons heal before I ever try again.
If it happens next time in 6+ months then I'll take that as me being at super high risk for it (my grandma did have diabetes, so that might be part of it) and will flush the remainder down the toilet.

It sucks ass, but back to my normal diet I've been on for the last few months I guess. Hopefully I can just shave off the remainder on my own and flush the dnp.

What's your goal cal deficit at? Because if your goal is 100 under maintenance then 300 is nothing. If you goal is 700 under maintenance then 300 is great, since that's like another 1/11 lb lost.

I'd lower the calorie goal to 1600 by default. 1900 is your BMR, somewhere between 2100-2500 is your TDEE by the sounds of it (unless you're also doing cardio with those lifts).
You'll naturally fuck up sometimes and eat over the 1600 calorie goal, and when you hit your lift limit while cutting then the calorie loss will be less significant (getting closer to sedentry), so it's good to be on the safe side.

Otherwise good job, you're 90% likely to make it. We're also both at around the same stats, though too.

If you had a high carb diet beforehand you could have been carrying up to 7 or 8 lbs of water weight, though I am sure you did lose at least 1-2 lbs of fat as well as any water you lost.
That said, that's why I said your TDEE is most likely somewhere between 2100-2500, 2100 being sedentary which is why I recommended the 1600 goal by default.

Make sure you actually get your trace elements and vitamins if you do a high deficit or fast.
